Ladies, this one is for you.
Well, I mean, unless you are a guy and wear a bra. No judgement here... lol
Being fitted for a new bra size has been rather difficult. Whether the bra is too big, too tight or just right, it HURTS to wear it! It feels like there is this huge knot in my back on my left side, right at the bust line. I'm going to ask my doctor about it but not until May 13th. I am absolutely exhausted and I don't want to make an extra trip for something that can wait. Also, I was curious if anyone ever runs out of breath. I have always walked fast in the store. It's just a habit. I am NOT a shopper. I want to get in and get out. Today I found myself not being able to finish a sentence without gasping for air. I know that I truly need a vacation but that isn't possible right now. Has anyone ever experienced either of these problems or am I making a mountain out of a molehill?
Re: Ladies, this one is for you.
Me again!
Reflux can damage your lungs...I was sick for several months because of it, but before the asthma and hernia I had pain in my chest and couldn't breeze because of the anemia.
For any kind of pain in the chest area you should see a doc asap. Better safe than sorry!
May be I'm too sensitive about the subject because I had a pulmonary embolism during my last pregnancy, but I had a light pain in the chest and was having trouble to breeze, without making an effort. I never had a clot in my leg..so even the radiologist was chocked about the scan result...

Hi Michelle, I had developed breathing problems also. Mine turned out to be caused by a Hiatal Hernia. It dragged my stomach up into my chest cavity. I think you should have this checked out. If you didn’t have this issue before. When I was very heavy and just starting to exercise I had breathing issues from my stomach sitting on my lungs. Doesn’t sound like you had issues with breathing before surgery, you also shouldn’t be this worn out for surgery any more. You should be having lots of energy now. Wondering what’s causing your exhaustion. Wondering if your having absorption issues. Rate with the Sleeve but have heard of it happening. Recommend making an appointment. Hope you start feeling better soon. PS I wear sports Bras, they are so comfortable.
Re: Ladies, this one is for you.
I think you should make an extra trip to the doctor. While it took me many tries, and purchases, to find a bra after I lost weight, I finally found one I loved it. Eventually I got it in every color, and double of the basics. So I only wear one bra, have for 4 years. It's one of those with extra side coverage.
But yours doesn't sound like the problem of finding the perfect bra, it sounds like you should find out what's wrong with your body. Does it even hurt with a lightweight sports bra?
Feel better and keep us updated!

Do y'all think an ER visit is warranted?

It does. I bought one a week or so ago. Loved it. Wore it out of the store. Then an hour later, I was in a lot of pain. I have Fibromyalgia on top of the MS so I thought maybe I had just overdone it that day. I also have a fusion in my back so I'm constantly in some type of pain.
Re: Ladies, this one is for you.
It doesn't hurt though if I don't wear a bra. My back, that is. Unfortunately, I live with folks so I have it on all the time. My body isn't used to that.
Re: Ladies, this one is for you.
Did you decide to see a doctor? are you better today?
Bras are evil...pregnant or in a plane, it drove me crazy. Even sport's bra...sleep bras...I tried so many kind! and since my complicated issues in October, when I had non-stop asthma attacks, or even worth, from the point I had the hiatal hernia, I couldn't stand it.
When needed I'm wearing a kind of sport top that has a bra inside. The support is not that great...but after my last surgery, with my tummy so swollen for one month, I finally went to fish a few of my big bras from one of the boxes...still too big...and can't stand it either, it does push on my hiatal hernia. I tried my last "good bras" with extensions...nothing works!
So...sorry!! no idea...Clothing has been a major issue for months, and since I need something too big at the waist so it doesn't put pressure on my stomach, I found one of my pregnancy "soft pants", looks a little like a yoga pants that goes higher on the belly but with warmer fabric...anyway, it was tight around the belly when pregnant to give me support so now since I'm smaller it's the perfect size...it's like the only thing I like to wear outside right now...at some point before finding the right box (so glad I kept that one) I was wearing linen pants I used to wear for work when in between sizes post sleeve, but I had to wear thermal leggings under it....looked bad....so if I don't go outside the house, I just wear my big pj's from before the sleeve...have many of those since I gave away "nice things only"...
Shoes...same story...too big or too small....and until February I had joint pains with all the meds and from gaining so much, couldn't wear any of my winter boots...argh!! I got new boots with gel in sole ...was great ...then I had surgery and it's too small (still have a lot of water retention)...at least I will have less issues with Summer shoes..

I haven't went to the doctor yet. I'm going to call the office on Monday morning. I was able to keep my bra off for a good bit of time yesterday and it helped my back pain so I'm thinking that it's the bra. It has got to be the wrong size. I'm still going to get checked. My body issues are weird. Always have been. Ever since my fusion, I can't wear jeans comfortably. It could be my sensory issues. I don't know. For today though, I'm not going to worry about it. We are having a youth dedication at our church today and I'm in charge of dessert. Gotta finish it and get my day moving along. :) Have a good one!
Re: Ladies, this one is for you.
Hope your youth activity went well yesterday, and that you get in to the doctor today.
I do agree that any type of recurring, troubling pain should be checked out. It's there for a reasons, besides annoying us.
I have not had the bra issue, but I do have pain on the left side of my rib cage, in the cartilage. Mine turns out to be yet another grace of aging. But I got it checked out. Hope you feel better! Let usknow.
