Hi from Florida
Hi all... I am starting the sleeve process Monday. My insurance covers it, but I have to go through 3 months of check-ins and testing (Ultrasound/Endoscopy) so I'm hoping for a surgery date in March-19.
I've spent the last 20 years of multiple 100lb swings up and down, I can't seem to find stability. I have Hashimoto's thyroid disease which makes losing weight difficult due to my slower metabolism. I had a failed back surgery this year and am at a point where I need to lose weight to take pressure off the back but am in too much pain to exercise or do physical therapy. I work full-time sitting at a desk all day and spend up to 2 hours a day commuting so my lifestyle is very sedentary. I hope this surgery can help me feel better and give me the ability to live a more active life.

Welcome Sunshyne! Now is a great time to read up as much as you can about the surgery. It is not a magic bullet but definitely a great tool to get you to a healthy weight. Follow the rules, take pictures and measurements, and lean on this wonderful support system for encouragement and advice. Glad to have you on board!
