I was told when I left the hospital to contact them asap in case of a fever. I had a stomach flu around 2/3 weeks post-op, went back for tests. I was fine at the end but better safe than sorry!
No fever and was told the same thing. To go back if any fever arises. With you being just 5 days post op definitely a good thing you called your surgeon. Let us know how it goes!
He told me to take Tylenol every 6 hours and to drink Gatorade or Powerade for a few days!
Keep an eye on it. Glad he thinks it's nothing.
No fever today!
