3 weeks out and have question??
Hi,
1.) I am 3 weeks out and today I have been getting my drink down a lot faster then usual, is that normal?? Also I am eating more of my yogurt also, I dont know if that is bad or not???
2.) I cant seem to slow my self down when I am eating like yogurt or jello, I take bite and then not even 20 seconds later another bite is that bad??? or is it just for more solid food???
Thanks, lisa

What I have noticed is that you will do this and then get sick to your stromach. Try to pace yourself. Talk to someone in between bites. I know that this helped me. The Doctor told me that your new stomach is not set in size until about 6 to 9 months after surgery. So you have to take it slow so that you keep the small stomach.

This is normal. It just means that you are healing. I really did not have a "drinking restriction" a few days after surgery. Some do, so consider yourself lucky. It is also normal to be able to eat more yogurt too. When you get to solid food you will see a big difference.
Re: 3 weeks out and have question??
I agree. Liquids & puree's can go through the sleeve quickly. When you move onto solids it'll be quite different.
However you'll need to chop up your food well & take tiny bites so you don't barf.
Also some days you'll be more hungry than others. Some days you'll eat a lot other days you may have no appetite.
I don't know what makes the sleeve tick but we seem to go through metabolic changes similar to gastric bypass patients.
So it's not completely food restriction vs. tiny sleeve that keeps us thin.
