Hi everyone! I am 3.5 years post-op. I’m down 125 lb and have never been happier! However, I’m wondering if anyone else has had a lower sex drive since their surgery. I’m a 27 year old female and have totally felt like I have seen a decrease in my sexual desire since my surgery. Has anyone else experienced this? Any supplements or other suggestions to increase it? I had the exact opposite experience. My libido came alive. I think it’s because I feel so much better about myself. I’m 67 years old and 3.5 years out.
I would definitely discuss this with your Dr...gynecologist or primary.

Are you still taking your vitamins daily?
Because when we had our sleeve done, the studies were only showing deficiencies for bariatric patients who had a gastric bypass, but those past months studies show that issues also affect patients with a sleeve, and vitamin deficiencies are at a pic between 3 and 5 years out.
I would recommend that you have a full panel blood test, they will look at many things but for you it's interesting to know about anemia or hypothyroid issues/ hormonal issues.
I've been dealing with anemia for the past 25 years, but the past two years have been the worth and indeed when anemia is there, your are in the mood for nothing. I was still taking high dosage of iron but was having extra heavy periods and not fixing iron either (like many obese, even when they are not obese anymore, it's linked to an issue in our guts) only iron infusions work.
Before your blood test result, the only thing you can do for sure is take a strong probiotic, that will help your guts to absorb nutrients and we have never enough good probiotics so that can't be wrong.
Also ginseng is a good booster for energy in general and prescribed a lot in traditional Chinese medicine for sexual issues (after studying nutrition for years, I switched to naturopathy last year) but really you need a blood test to assess your health.

Thanks Sandra! I have been taking my bariatric vitamins religiously. I also take vitamin d and extra iron. I have had a blood panel done not too long ago, and everything was normal. I have heard about ginseng though, so I will have to check that out. Thank you for your input!!!
