Totally agree! I still try to check every few days to see if anyone is still around!
I am not a robot. I agree. It is time for a regular reunion. After my surgery in October of 2017 I relied on their suggestions on a daily basis. The best to all during these difficult times. We all have challenges in our lives but coming together to help each other with our weight loss is special. Helping total strangers says a lot about character. Maybe the old timer regulars can check in and say hello?
HI hope you are all well. I agree, not been much on lately. I do check in to see whats happening. I would love all the 'oldies' to come back and post as they/you are all amazing and inspirational. At the moment I am trying to get back on track as this lock down has been no good for me. TG my gym has been open and I have been able to go and train and have PT otherwise I think i would have gained loads of weight. I hope you all have lovely celebrations over the next few weeks and would love to see you all in the new year. stay safe. :)
You are totally right. It's turned into a waste of time. People reposting stuff from 2012. I don't get what happened. I think there are only maybe 4 of us "old timers" left!!
I am still here. I read everyday, just not a lot of content lately. Any other sights out there that might not having the bots infiltration?
I come back every few days and have a say if there is anything relevant to comment on - but most of it is just garbage as Katrina said.
Good to know that there are still a few of us that keep an eye on the forum :-)
I'm glad to see some of you are still around. Remember the good ol days when regulars were posting every single day? I felt like we had our own little family... if a bit dysfunctional ;) I miss it. I hope you guys keeping popping in.
Perhaps we can set up something!
Private group on Facebook?
I'd hate to let this site go because people still come here for help and guidance. I think we need to start posting and creating threads.
I've just started my journey (surgery was Nov. 23rd). I can learn a lot from you guys and would hate to see you go. I don't check in everyday but when I do, I don't see much. I've had questions and I search the site for relevance but everything I see is from 7 and 8 years ago. I believed signing up on the website would be a good thing for me and I still do. I'm having MAJOR problems with reflux that I can barely get any food down. If any of you had that problem and overcame it, I would sure love to hear from you!
I had problems with acid reflux too. My surgeon actually scheduled me for a conversion to gastric bypass but my insurance did not agree. Around two months post op my reflux is mostly under control. I take 40 mg Protonix twice a day. I found eating a small soft food every 2 - 3 hours helped. I have just started eating a regular diet and learning what my stomach can tolerate. This whole surgery is a daily learning process. I wonder if what I am going through is normal or how am I doing. I believe I am having my first stall. I haven't had a lot of luck with this forum and anybody answering my posts.
I are here.......had my surgerversary on 8/23. 8 years ago. It’s no fun here because I don’t stir the pot like I used to and Ann2 isn’t here to tell me she needs a break from me.....
Ahhh.....the good old days.
For me, personally, I got tired of newbies who didn’t mind telling me that I had no idea what I was talking about. Of course, I lost 265 lbs in 14 months and kept every bit of it off until the lockdown. I succumbed to rule number 1 in Tinman world.
Never, never, ever, ever, ever, ever overeat. I overate and drank and put on the COVID 15. Got it under control, lost the tonnage, and am now back to normal.
So....here’s a vet checking in and saying hey!
I miss Ann2.
If everyone on this site remained current, posted new posts, commented on new posts, we would be fine. The problem is people are digging up posts from 2012 (not sure why) which makes everything pretty irrelevant. It's hard to find out who has a new question. Us old-timers would be happy to help, but I delete it when I see I commented on a post from 5 years ago.
Hi Tim Man, I'm a veteran also. After 6 years post op I also find myself having to reset my sleeve.
In July, I fell, broke my femur and ended up in trauma with a repaired femur and a new hip.
COVID certainly didn't help, shutting down my gym, yoga classes etc.
So today I'm over my goal weight and find myself going back to the basics. I used this site daily to stay in track.
Good to see a old friend.

OMG it just keeps getting worse. Trolls who have never had a sleeve are digging up posts from years ago. I enjoy helping people, but I can't find them with this mess. Totally time for a break.
Hmmm...I actually have no idea - but I'll investigate and let you all know - unless someone out there knows how?
I don't want you to leave either.
I haven't logged on or posted in about 2 years. Just checking to see if the people that helped me so much, in the beginning, were still here helping others! I am 3 years out. I get within 10 lbs of my goal and quit trying to go lower. (big mistake) Then Covid hit and I literally gained the Covid 19#'s! Losing my husband on our 41st wedding anniversary due to covid added to the 19 pounds. I went on Keto (ugh) and lost the weight for my class reunion last August. Then had back surgery in December and had to take steroids for a month. I gained 15 pounds promptly. Now back at WW and just have 6 more pounds to lose. I've found it is critical to stay on top of this!
My DIL had the sleeve 6 months before me. She quit trying to lose after she had lost 80 pounds and is now gained at least half of her weight back. She is checking into a revision.
If only the developer of this site did not care about his site. Otherwise, they would have added measures against spammers long ago!
