Fourth week and have put on weight
I haven't lost anything over the last two weeks and this week weighed in and have put on .5kg. What is going on?
All I eat is as much protein as I can ( which is never enough ) and try to get in as much fluid as I can (which isn't enough either).
I dont understand, what am I doing wrong? I have heard that your weight loss can come to a halt for a while (forgot the word for it) but how long does that last? Anyone know? I'm starting to get really depressed : {

Search this site for the word "stall."
So many weep about this the first month that I don't know why doctors aren't making this known.

You don't need to count calories, but are you eating a lot of high caloric food to get the protein totals in?
Are you drinking a lot of juice or other higher calorie beverages to get your daily liquid totals in?
Try journaling.
The body can resist this change and you may be retaining some fluids.
Are your clothes feeling a little looser? Muscle is more dense than fat. The scale may not be moving much, but your clothes will fit looser (you are losing inches).
Don't be discouraged, almost every one has a stall or two (or more). Keep up the great work.

I am 44 days sense surgery and I am at a stand still. I haven't lost anything in 2 weeks. Haven't gained. But not a loss. It is driving me nuts!

I was sleeved on 12/19/14.....and for the past week n 1/2....i haven't lost not one pund...I'm still at the same weight i was on my last doctor's visit...I give up on scales now days....My bestfriend who was sleeved last year said she only weighs her self every 1st of the month...so thats what i'm going to start doing.....Good Luck and don't worry...the weight will come off...we just gotta be patinet....

you are around the three week stall look for the thread about it on this forum we all go through it mine lasted almost two weeks i only lost 4lbs. for that month but after that i have lost 12lbs this month the weight will pick back up i promise just give it time and make sure you are not eating or drinking your calories i use myfitnesspal it will help you keep account of everything you eat i only eat like four times a day and one of them times is my protein shake and i drink water and sugar free water packets added when i am tired of water i drink unsweet tea with stevia added and i add stevia to my coffee in the morning and sugar free creamer i only get about 800 calories eaten a day and i am three months post op and calories going in is lower than that cause of the exercise i do at least 30 minutes a day and try to get as close to an hour as my back can stand i usually get in 45 minutes exercise is must or your sleeve will do you no good hope you get past your stall and best wishes on your journey :o

Thanks so much everyone. I have had no extra calories. I have sugar free everything. I know I'm doing all the right things, but it is just so frustrating when you lose so much so fast and then you expect to keep going as fast. Makes me feel better knowing that its not just me. Thanks for all your input. I will take your advice, don't weigh in so much and be patient.
