Well I had my surgery yesterday morning and I am back home this afternoon. It was an absolute breeze, the Doctor and nursing staff were the most awesome I've ever experienced. The last thing I remember was talking to the pre-op team and then I woke up in my room.
I feel good. Having just a little stomach pain, nothing major. I'm walking, walking and sipping, sipping. LOL

That's awesome!! Be sure to take it easy and rest as well. Hopefully things continue to go smoothly. Now time to enjoy the journey.
Great stuff. Rest as much as you need to, sip that water, walk as much and as often as you can, and above all be kind to yourself.

Almost there !!!... Like I said the first 48 hrs. Is by far the most enduring.
The most important part:. YOU have already took control of, that’s your POSITIVE ATTITUDE.
I’m so glad you felt good enough to make a post ( you have been so supportive since you joined this forum, and I knew you were going to be fine.)
Really lay low, today and maybe tomorrow sleep when you can. ( I’ll never forget that advise) it was spot on.
I can’t sleep, up early It’s like the first day of school for a kindergartner, ready to change gears and get to work.
I know 2 things, I’m not ready to retire like I thought I was, and I’d be a terrible wife, I hate washing dishes and doing laundry.. I’ve learned there’s more to
daily living then I thought. (32 years of marriage) and I just realized I didn’t know how to separate clothes before washing. LOL

Don't forget sleeping! I slept most of that first week. When I was awake I sipped and walked a little. Sounds like you are off to a wonderful start!! Go you!
Thanks Dutchie. I wanted to say thank you for bringing up that C02 with my surgeon. I asked him when he checked in before surgery about pushing that out and I think he was impressed that I knew to ask about that. HAHA Needless to say, he must have done it because I had no gas pressure or pain afterwards.Quote:
