The obesity code and the two other books Dr Fung wrote after that one are really interesting. Because it goes against what I learned in part of my nut studies, and that part I didn't like because I know for myself, carbs are a big issue and eating "too much" even on low calories would keep me from losing weight. His book about longevity is very interesting too....I do believe that fasting can help our metabolism, if done right and not in excess. French people traditionally don't snack all day and the new generation is getting fatter by the minute with all that snacking all day!! (same thing, in my training the "6 small meals per day for weight loss" was one of the big thing I disagreed with!).Quote:

I totally agree with you about Dr Fung and too much carbs.
I subscribe to Bariatric Foodie and have since about 5 months out for the recipes.
I find it very interesting that Nikki (aka Bariatric Foodie) is still learning about herself and sharing her findings 10+ years after surgery.
To me it just goes to show we’re never done with learning. ;-)

I've been really lucky so far to be able to help and see positive results on my family and friends, and sharing that experience with more people seems the right thing to do, especially after dealing with so many useless doctors who do more arm than anything else. Sometimes a little change in life style can go a long way and can help to avoid meds and their side effects!!
Anyway, I'm not done learning, I have a lot more classes to take and one interesting program is in India, I will need to manage a full month off work....hopefully I will work out something in 2020/2021!
