My name is....
My name is Tess 15, Im from Western CO and I'm here because I weigh 450 lbs and can barely move. In the last 6 months I've been diagnosed with low oxygen, atrial fibrillation, and major knee pain. My feet hurt and I cant reach my bumm . My hair is falling out from the medication. I'm almost always hurting somewhere. And I'm scared I'm going to die from my unhealthy, obese condition.
I'm at the end of the beginningof working toward my gastric sleeve.
And that's just the last six months. I have A LOT to learn. Thank you for being here to help us learn from each other.

Re: My name is....
Hello
Welcome Tess 15
Just read your message and felt moved to say everyone on here will give you diamonds and pearls of wisdom.
Tell us a little more about where you are at in the process of starting to be sleeved I was self-pay so it happened quickly for me.
You are on your way to a healthy life.
You will have lots of support here and having been through it myself 18 months since my sleeve its fabulous life is so lovely you will still enjoy food and I can honestly say I enjoy my food more now than ever before because I give my self-time to eat and think about what I really fancy eating and enjoy every sip or mouthful whereas pre sleeve I don't think I tasted my food I rushed it and eat without any thought.
It will be amazing! xx

Re: My name is....
Welcome, Tess! And well done for finding a great support group. Prayers for your health improvements and success.
I had multiple co morbidities when I had my sleeve two years ago. Getting ready to put in a stair lift. But doing well now. It's a journey, and it will happen for you!
Keep posting questions and concerns.

Re: My name is....
Welcome and good luck on your journey. Having the sleeve has been one of the best decisions of my life, I went from being super unhealthy with obesity issues to now feeling better than I've felt in many years! It's not an easy, magic wand. It's a tool designed to help you lose weight with lifestyle and eating changes. It takes commitment, but once you start seeing results, I think you'll be so encouraged it will motivate you even more.
Wishing you success on whatever avenue you chose, just remember to educate yourself and ask your Dr. any/all questions. There are also very lovely and caring posters here who are willing to share their own personal experiences.

Re: My name is....
Thank you all for your warm welcome. I'm at the stage of how to pay for this very medically necessary surgery. Feeling discouraged because I just read some posts on that subject. Now I need to read posts on how to get paid for. I have insurance. Not a benefit. 10 years ago I wasn't sick enough. Now I'm getting life threateningly sicker every day.

Now change your signature in:
I know I can, I know I can, I know I can, I know I can...
Self fulfilling prophecy and all that... :D
You can do this!
