I used to keep ice in my cup all of the time. I couldn't drink a water without it having ice in it. Now, I can't drink anything at all with ice in it. It takes my breath away and I can't swallow it. Is this because of the sleeve?

i think the sleeve affects everyone differently. I have always had only iced water, in fact I suffer from pica and actually eat ice all the time. ( due to low iron, not sleeve related). After the operation, i was nil per mouth for 2 days and only started on water on the 3rd day. I had a bottle of water next to my hospital bed and sipped a little and promptly threw up. I said to the doctor and nurse please can I have iced water and I never had a problem after that. Just go with the flow and maybe try again if you prefer it. :)
Everyone is different. In my experience...if whatever I eat or drink is intolerable, I stop eating or drinking it. If I try it again and still get a negative result, it’s gone again. There are certain foods and drinks that still don’t work and that’s after 3.5 years. I’ve come to the conclusion that I have a new normal...I’m ok with that ;-)
I drink a lot more water when it's warm, even hot.
But after losing 100 pounds, I'm pretty cold-natured now. Don't need to be cooled off. Just warmed up. :)
Yes it is due to your sleeve and won't last for long. For now just find a temperature that works for you!
I know several people that couldn’t tolerate cold fluids after the Sleeve. It should eventually pass.
