We don't need to look at the NUMBER on the scale.? Is that correct?
Look at what you want to, and most Dr's will certainly want the scale numbers to drop. IMO, there is way too much emphasis placed on the scale number. A better measuring tool, though not a perfect tool, is overall body composition (body fat %), since excessive fat, as most would attest, is the enemy. I've seen and heard of so many people that entered a resistance program that would stop lifting or lose motivation because the weight scale stopped dropping or their weight even went up a little. Very sad. Again, like the Food Lion commercial, "That's just my 2 cents". :)
It's so simple minded because we all know muscle weighs more then fat and if they base a BMI number on weight then your screwed. I agree that the body fat percentage is much more reliable and realistic measuring system. Cheers!
