How did you handle aftercare if you had surgery in TJ?
Hello! I'm seriously considering getting a gastric sleeve in Tijuana. But, I'm concerned about any follow up care with local doctors, especially if there are any complications. We live in Utah now, but will be moving to Colorado this summer.
Has anyone here dealt with complications in a similar situation?
Thanks for any information you can give me!

My primary care physician is great, she knows all about the sleeve, what blood work to have when, etc. I would look around for a PCP who is knowledgable on bariatric surgery and you should be fine.
I was self-pay in the states, but only paid for before care, surgery, and three months of follow up. My insurance had a strict no bariatric policy. I was lucky to have no complications, because if I was put back in the hospital that would have been self pay too! I was sure to follow every instruction, drink even ounce of water, etc. to keep healthy.

Hello! I had my surgery in Tijuana with Dr. Jorge Luis Green, with Renew Bariatrics. The price was great and his qualifications are second to none.
After surgery, I just followed up with my primary and got a referral to the weight loss department with my insurance. Seamless!
Please feel free to ask me anything and good luck on your journey to being a loser!
