Re: daily protein
My nutritionist told me 80 to 85 a day. I never get that high consistently. I eat egg whites in the morning. I will also have cottage cheese with protein powder added in. Lunch meat is another option. Just watch the sodium content on some. I'll wrap a piece of cheese in the lunch meat for more protein. The nutritionist says that by four months I should not be relying on protein drinks daily. I still use them (Premier Protein Chocolate flavored) if I know I will be out running around all day. You will figure out what works for you. Just keep experimenting. If you haven't already you should get a app like My Fitness Pal. Log everything, good and bad. It will help you keep track. Good Luck.

Re: daily protein
I was told by week 3 (purée week) to stop having protein shakes as I should be getting my protein from food. I was not given a protein or liquids daily goal but I try to get in what I can. I am still relying on a daily protein shake now at week three post op.
Lean cuisine meals (like turkey in food processor) w mashed potato I've tried. I can eat half so that's 10g.
I can eat 1/2c ricotta (14g). An egg is 4.5 and I added one egg white (2g) but it was hard to eat and egg and a half..
I tried a piece of grilled chicken (drumstick from KFC) in the food chopper and that was about 13g.
I can't imagine how to get in a ton of protein without a shake (or bar).
It was recommended that I see a nutritionist but that sounds expensive and from this board I read someone met with one for 15 mins only.
I'd rather piece something together from lists of high protein foods, or a book

Re: daily protein
I eat a black bean soup. I use half a bag of Goya black beans and a little seasoning. This is 7 oz dry. It has 75 g of fibre (heaps) and 45 g of protein.

Re: daily protein
Chobani yoghurt -14g
Juice with protein powder - 40g
Cup of skim milk in my tea/coffee over the day 10g
Rare roasted eye fillet for dinner & lunch and I'm well over my required 60g for the day.
Baked beans are good, cheese and ham roll ups, turkey rissoles etc. Any left over meats like pasta sauce or stir fry goes down well. I skip the juice if I plan well enough :) A little bit of cous cous works well with stew. Just a tablespoon though. Yum! I have also resorted to making icecream from the shakes mixed with skim milk.
Cheers,
B.
