NSV: My stairs no longer creek and moan

Our scales are upstairs in our spare bathroom. I moved the scales upstairs since having surgery to force myself to walk up a flight of steps if I wanted to weigh myself. Even though the house is 8 years old, I seemed to make every step creek, moan, or groan. Today, I was so euphoric about weighing under 300, I didn't realize I am not making a sound on the stairs. This probably happened a few lbs ago but like I said, I didn't notice until I went back upstairs to put something away.
