Amen.
You look wonderful. And you sound like you feel wonderful!
Congratulations.
Re: Two years out 1/12/17
What a great success! congrats and thank you for the update!
But not enjoying food any more...that's kind of sad. Is it because you miss the quantity or you can't eat your favorites any more?
I still enjoy food, of course now I can eat a much smaller quantity and it's great, I'm not starving all the time and can focus on quality rather than quantity.
I always felt I was wasting so much money on my own food consumption...Also I couldn't have cauliflower for almost one year but since last week I can. That was a happy New Year twist ;-). May be it will come back for you too..
Re: Two years out 1/12/17
It was my comforter. Now, a few bites and I'm finished! I eat my favorites but my taste buds aren't the same after surgery.
Can't complain about money...anything I order now lasts for 2 maybe 3 meals!!!!!
Re: Two years out 1/12/17
I think I understand because I loved pasta but can't digest it any longer. After a small tiny bite I'm full! So I still make my Bolognese spaghetti for my husband and children but only have the sauce with veggies. I think it's a small price to pay. I was so much in pain all day when I was bigger! Now it's better so I try to think positive. And I did find new favorites. May be that could be an option for you? Look for new food to love and not think about those you are missing..

Re: Two years out 1/12/17
Thanks for sharing and I guess that in the few days after my surgery (it's only been about 6 weeks for me) I felt very sad because I too, discovered that I "no longer enjoyed" food.
Now, I see food as "fuel." Necessary only for survival!
It has been a bitter sweet experience but at the end of the day, that's how it should have been always...The problem is, our society stresses too much importance around food, to the point it consumes some of us...to the point of obsession!
Very interesting isn't it? I wish you the best of health to you!
