Hardest week of my life

My dearest and oldest friend from childhood passed away on New Years Day. It was such a shock to everyone as she seemed fine the days before. Since New Years my head has simply been swimming and this Saturday is her funeral.

My fatty brain has wanted to retreat and eat all the stuff that I know is horrible for my body. I have been pretty good at resisting, but there have been days that I haven't. I've decided to give myself until after the funeral and once we are back home, then it's back to making me the best me I can be.

It feels good to write this out as I've bottled up all my emotions for the past week. Take care and I'll write more after.....

So sorry to hear about the loss of your close friend. In our lifetime things happen to test our strength and ability not to give in, just by writing this post it’s obvious to me you are strong and will get through this difficult time.
I am on my pre op diet and reading your post and seeing how successful you have been with your weight after 9 years is inspiring.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. It gives meaning to the wise adage of ‘live each day as if it’s your last.’ I hope you will eventually find peace in your fond memories of your friend.
