What are you experiencing? I'm two weeks out today. I live about 2 hours from you. How can I help you hon? Are you in pain? not drinking your fluids?
Tell us what is wrong and we can help. If you think it's something serious or wrong you can always send a message to DR. A through weigh-loss agents. but most likely we can help.. Just tell us what your issues are, Between all of us we have been through everything.

I didn't feel so good after 4 days but it gets better. If it is very serious...call your doctor!!!!
Dallas is a big city! I'm visiting Richardson next weekend if you're around there. But it's probably easier to just say why things are so hard for you right now, we are all here to help and answer questions. But like everyone has said, if you are having serious complications it's time to call your surgeon.
Groovygrl the first week is challenging but if you are concerned definitely go to ER and get checked out. If this is day 3... are you still at the hotel with the nursing staff? Or are you traveling? sugar free popsicles worked really good for me.. You could also fill a glass full of ice and sip as it melts. it will get better. after 2 weeks you should be able to take bitter sips.
In the beginning I did better getting down warm liquids versus cold. Try that and see if it helps. I can tell you it took me a while to get in enough fluids. I also was did the SF popsicles because ultimately they are fluid as well. Your protein shakes count too. As for soft foods, I did not use baby foods. I had creamed soups made with high protein non fat milk (I used Fa!rlife), Oikos Triple Zero Greek yogurt, and my nutritionist said I could use a food processor to blend anything up. So I would just puree up my meat with some broth.
Stay away from cold or hot water and foods. Room temp worked best for me. Also sugar caused cramping. Try “Mio” in room temp water. Not too much at first and don’t push yourself.
You will probably not get in your 64 ounces the first few days and here are our very large bariatric center, we encourage our patients to "sip like it's your job." Keep a liquid handy, beverage of your choice, and keep sipping with small breaks in-between sips. Also, sugar free jello and sugar free ice pops are considered liquids. Try some warm broth, Chinese wonton soup broth without any of the solids is very comforting to some patients and tasty. We also recommend using your incentive spirometer as it helps with opening your chest and the reason it hurts is your small and sore along the whole way when you swallow. I have noticed, being a patient and also working here, that people are not prepared for the way it "hurts" when they swallow even water after surgery. I suggest ice chips in between to make sure your mouth isn't too dry as it helps with the "swallowing" process.
As for the baby food, is this something your surgeon recommends? Most patients at that stage are eating "real food" in a pureed form and it's more tasty although following docs orders is always encouraged.
