I知 curious
So I知 working with a therapist on overcoming my eating disorder, and a suggestion was made that I try hypnosis. I do not know anyone who has tried a hypnotist for weight loss and I wondered if anyone has any experience? I think the suggestion was more for behavior modification than actual weight loss.

Re: I知 curious
Hmm. I do cognitive therapy, which is different. That and journaling. But anything that breaks the odd pattern of eating mindlessly (in my case) or when I'm bored, tired or thirsty....
Not sure but I'm guessing someone will chip in!

Re: I知 curious
I have never been hypnotized, but I certainly be open to giving it a go if I thought it might help. It probably can't hurt?!

Re: I知 curious
My theory is “couldn’t hurt, might help”. I haven’t had hypnosis, but having been successfully treated with EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for PTSD and can tell you that the human brain is complex and capable of some amazing things. Good luck.
