I did it! Was sleeves Wed June 12th.
I was so scared, almost backed out the morning of, but I did it. I had surgery Wed morning. I struggled the first day to get my fluids in because I couldn't stay awake. My blood sugar was also very elevated ( I'm not diabetic) I was released Friday morning after I drank 1/2 liter over my goal throughout the night. I slept so good last night at home. Managing to get 1/2 protein shake down before I have to take a break. Taking a walk outside to visit my chickens every couple of hours. They even had a coming home surprise for me. Two of my younger girls started laying yesterday. I can't wait until the soft foods phase so I can eat their delicious eggs again. My girls are free range and the make the best tasting eggs! Hubby went grocery shopping with the kiddos so it's about nap time for me.

My best post-surgery advice is to nap as much as you can that whole first week!
Re: I did it! Was sleeves Wed June 12th.
Napping is a great thing that first week or so. And yes, "homemade eggs" are good. Our neighbor shares with us, since our HOA won't let us have them, but across the road is not HOA.
Keep on! You'll be there before you know it.

So happy you went through with the surgery and glad you checked in with an update. Sounds like you're doing well. I napped A LOT during my first week, took walks as I could, drank my fluids as best I could and just generally tried to recover. You are not on anyone else's time table, so do what feels best for you. Every day will get easier and better.
Congratulations!

Welcome to the loser’s bench! ;-)
Thank you for the update. You’ll soon be enjoying your girls’ gifts.
Sip, walk, rest, repeat. Sounds like you’re doing great!
