My problem is that when get munchies, I eat more than I should and it causes me to get nauseous, then I have to lay down, then because I'm stoned I fall right asleep. So why smoke at all? Hmmmm
I actually started because I was losing too much weight and I was having pains with eating. It does help me to eat and with the pains. I live in Florida so its hard to get a medical card.
Getting the munchies is a function of which kind(s) of marijuana plants and strain(s) are in the joints, vaping intoxicants, or edibles you're partaking of.
As most folks know, indica plants are more likely to produce the munchies than sativa plants.
These days, there's lots of work being done in the states where recreational marijuana is legal to produce many different cannabis strains that produce very different effects.
You're welcome. :)
Smoking anything isn't a great health choice...legal doesn't mean smart idea,
Nope. No marijuana for me. Just occasional drinking. :)
I love it when old threads get resurrected.
I remember this particular one. I pm’d one of the posters to inform her that alcohol is not sugary. It is, in fact, the sugar that is converted to alcohol. So, alcohol is sugar free.
She was less than thrilled with my scientific knowledge.
There are three women in my crazy as hell sleeve group who smoke like you and breathe. Constantly.
One is a partner at a prestigious law firm here in humidity hell and the other one is an HR executive for one of the big oil companies. Both of these women are definitely the smartest person in any room they are standing in. Plus, they are rowdy.
Both are sleeved and both haven’t gained an ounce since getting to goal. They both tell me that the occasionally get the munchies, but, respect the hell outta what full feels like. Sound familiar?
You can’t gain meaningful weight with the sleeve if you don’t overeat. Period.
We just drove back from the mountains today, another week of skiing every day at Copper Mountain. So I chose the exercise over the pot! (No desire to even try it).
It was funny to see a marijuana store right next to Subway in a strip mall. Just something a midwesterner doesn't see every day!
I would be happy to start and take one for the team in the name of research
I found this thread pretty informative, but I'm going in two days to have a visit with my doctor and will definitely flat out ask him.
Pre-op here, so I can't say for sure from personal experience, but munchies are definitely a side-effect of pot, so just be aware of that ;D
Mj? Alwaaaays
Totally get where you're coming from. I'm in a legal state too, so I've had the same curiosity. Personally, I've smoked a bit post-op and didn't notice any major hunger spikes or issues. But everyone's different, ya know? Just take it slow and see how your body reacts. And hey, no judgment here either!
