Carbs and calories
So the past week I've gained 3 lbs. I'm 4 months out, and am at 800-900 calories per day. Exercise 45 min 3 X week. Since I'm eating a bit more, my carbs have gone up slightly. I've added in some baby carrots with hummus, broccoli, and about 6 water crackers per week that I have when I eat either tuna or egg salad. I've also had a half slice of 12 grain bread with a 1/2 tablespoon peanut butter for a snack a couple days before my exercise. My daily protein is anywhere from 75-90 g/ day. My carbs are (average) 45g/ day. Fat is usually around 30g/ day.
I'm not sure if it's the increase or calories, or if 45g of carbs is too much?
How many carbs do most of you eat in a day?
TIA

Re: Carbs and calories
At 4 months my carbs were no more than 30 grams/day.
It was only until I started to reach my goal weight before I started adding fruit and carby veggies.
Around 45 and worked up to 60.
After that (several weeks) I added complex carbs.
I am currently at 90 grams.

Re: Carbs and calories
Your body might be rebelling a bit over your weightloss and its belief that you are starving it. You have lost a lot of weight in just a few months. Focus on protein and try to cut carbs some, but I would also say that you might need to add a little. Sometimes adding some calories is just what the body needs to start losing again. I never believed it until I experienced it myself!
When I added, I kept my protein and carbs the same and added some FAT! It made a huge difference. Healthy fat, not greasy crappy food.
Hope this helps!
You're killing it however!

Re: Carbs and calories
I agree with Glenn. I think you might need to add a few calories since you are exercising regularly. Make sure they come from protein and veggies. :) I limited my carbs until I was almost to goal.
