Anyone gotten facial work after weight loss?
I posted almost identical question in over 60 group...
Has anyone had facelift, Botox or fillers since weight loss? I had fillers a couple of times. Two syringes was $1,000. Supposed to last over a year. But afterwards I had obvious bruising and prick holes to camouflage! Any success stories or other experiences?
Re: Anyone gotten facial work after weight loss?
Lee, not yet. But I have a consultation in early August with a cosmetic surgeon / aesthetician (spelling?) to see what my options are. Mostly, I just want my younger neck and jawline back. :)
BTW, how long were the bruising and puncture marks visible? Second, what kind of training / spa did you got to where this was done? Third, were you satisfied with the final result(s). And fourth, how long did the "final result(s)" last, i.e., did it last a year?
Re: Anyone gotten facial work after weight loss?
I think the cosmetic doc at the spa was very experienced. The bruising and puncture marks were a bear to hide for about two weeks! But the next time I get it done I will go to the one our granddaughter goes to in Las Vegas. Our granddaughter was not concerned about the pin pricks from her Botox and walked around like that. She's 25 and keeping up maintenance work on herself. She will probably look great till the day she dies! She's in the hospitality industry in LV and looks are everything. Anyway, as far as the longevity of the fillers on myself, I would say a year at max. if I do anything more I would really do my homework.
Re: Anyone gotten facial work after weight loss?
I'm only 6 weeks post sleeve, but I plan on having a consult at my first anniversary. I'm not looking to do anything too drastic, but would like to firm and tighten jaw/neck and maybe plump the cheeks. I know things will change and settle in this coming year so I am being patient. Not something I do well btw :)
Re: Anyone gotten facial work after weight loss?
I am still on the fence about it.
I would love to get rid of my turkey neck.
But I am still not sure if I want to spend the money on that.
I can do so much with that money...
Re: Anyone gotten facial work after weight loss?
I had never thought about it. I am fortunate that I don't have any slackness in face, and not hardly any wrinkles. And my neck tightened up quite well. I guess I would get it done if I felt it would make me feel more like myself....
Re: Anyone gotten facial work after weight loss?
I got botox in my forehead last October. It was a free gift for purchasing my breast implants. I LOVED IT! My forehead was so smooth. It only lasted about two months. I've since read that it doesn't last as long on people with implants because the body is constantly trying to push out the foreign objects and therefore hastening the wearing off of the botox. Despite loving the results, I never did find out how much it would actually cost to keep up. I know it is not an expense I'm willing to take on. It sure was nice while it lasted though.
