Well well well....Happy Birthday to ME

Today I'm 29 with 20 years experience at it. I don't tend to give much credence to birthdays. Especially as they're piling up on me! However, well, today my oldest child went and shopped for my birthday at stores SHE (Miss tiny tot herself) shops at! AND they're fitting! Never thought I'd live to see the day my 22 year old and I can shop at the same store. Didn't really realize it was a big deal to me until now. I've always been in the 2-3X section of Cato's, Lane Bryant, Catherine's, etc. But, today I got band T-shirts from Hot Topic in a Medium, and some Large! So, my gift to myself was given 7 weeks ago and the benefits from that gift are paying off today in dividends :) One happy (albeit older) Momma right here today!

Happy birthday!!!! I am in the same position you are. I can go shopping with my 20 year old daughter now too. We are now the same size (8/10)! Such a wonderful milestone! Congratulations!!!!

My shrink recently said to me, "Oh, I get it now -- your clothes are your toys!"

Bingo! It's so magical to be able to put together an outfit that both fits the occasion and expresses how I feel, rather than having to wear something only because it fits and (of course) is in black or navy blue.

Protip: While you're still losing weight, find a good consignment boutique in your area. You'll save TONS of money!

Happy belated birthday! I wore my son's (he's 10) raincoat / windbreaker (mens medium) this summer. Completely blew me away.....

Happy Birthday to you!! You have the gift of a great life with lots of fun things to look forward to. Most of us do this major surgery to get healthy, never realizing how much fun it will be. Enjoy the clothes, and definitely do the thrift stores. It's amazing what you can find when you are a smaller size. I saved so much money as I was losing, and now thrift as a hobby. I donate what I is too big, even sold a lot on face book plus size pages. Have fun with your new you!
