Yes, but typically in the $20-30,000 CDN range which is why I researched and went to Piedras Negras Mexico to Dr Alvarez. He was awesome, the care was amazing and the care was way superior to what I've experienced anywhere in Manitoba (my home province). I found you can do it privately in Toronto and a few other places, but the rigamarole isn't worth it. I'm sooo happy I went to Mexico - no regrets! PM me if you want more info. :)
I know they do it in red deer but again a long wait time..it took me a month from deciding to be sleeved-Dr alvarez was amazing! If u want more details let me know!
I'm in lethbridge and I was told in Edmonton and Medicine Hat. I got a referral for the dr in Medicine Hat back in feb/mar. The initial consult was booked for May of 2013! Ridiculous. I was told surgery was typically 2-4 yrs after that.
I went to Mexico now as my idea of getting healthy didn't include 4-6 more years of compounding the damage my weight was already doing to my body.
It was worth every penny.
Would you recommend Dr. Almanza. I have a date of March 6th but haven't paid the deposit.
