I was flying home from vacation the other day and bought a whole roasted chicken so-cal salad for $8. Took three bites and threw the whole thing away. I knew I wouldn't be able to eat much of it but was craving it. Oh well. lol.

This forum is part of my education and "retraining" my brain. I start with a local support group next week that meets at the hospital . I'm not sure what to expect but thought it could be a piece of building a network of support. Many thanks to all of you on the forum that take the time to post.
Those were hilarious! I never went to a local support group; now I wished I would have. Cheap entertainment :O)
I went to one meeting.
Someone brought Dunkin Donut Munchkins......... Said they were for spouses.........
I have not been back. Been thinking about going again more for a good laugh than anything else. Maybe to motivate other people too....
I guess I don't see an issue with this - it's up to us to not eat them right? If there were spouses there then ok let them have it. I guess I am coming from the perspective of personal responsibility from an addict and alcoholic viewpoint. (recovering now since 2001 but still....) I get asked once in awhile why I go to bars and the simple reply is because I am not dead... I still have a social life and enjoy live music. A year after I got sober was my class reunion and one of my closest friends got on my nerves making sure I didn't drink lol I finally told her if I wanted to drink no one could stop me and if I didn't want to drink no one could make me. Same with donuts or any other foods.
Wow, sounds like quite the support group session! 😅
