So I am on my 4th day out. Each day is getting better. I am still having to take some pain meds but only twice a day now instead of the every 4 hours. I have eating yogurt, and jello. I also tried some string cheese. That worked good. So I thought I would try some refried beans. That did not work out so well. I think that was still a little hard for the tummy.
Since I started the Preop diet 19 days ago, I have lost 31 lbs. The only other issue is that I need a nap in the afternoon.
Should have posted this on Monday but have been busy. I got a call first thing Monday morning from the Doc's nurse saying they had to reschedule my appointment. At first I was so sick then she said it would be this Friday instead to Wenesday. I guess two extra days wasn't too bad. Was just glad it was the same week. I could have not been to upset since his father died.
So I have to ask this unpleasant question. How bad is the Pre Op cleansing? I have to start the first part tomorrow night. Then the main part starts on Tuesday.
I also think its going to suck because my surgery is not until late in the afternoon on WED., and I am not suppose to have anything to drink after midnight on Tuesday.
So I have this question regarding the pre op diet. I am on about 1,100 calories a day. So being about 423 when I started it, I was at least taking in about 4,200-4,500 calories a day. I have gotten past the craving part of the diet but I feel exhausted in the afternoons. I think I could take a long nap. Is this normal? Is it due to the large reduction in calories? I think it is but just want to get others thoughts or experiences.

So today I went in for my Pre-Op appointment. I have a surgery date on June13,2012. I also started the Pre-op diet. The bad thing is that I weighed in at 423. The PA said I should loose 15-20 lbs the first week. I have to weigh in next Thursday to make sure am not cheating. ) I guess the sad thing is my weight. I am the heaviest I have ever been. The surgery can't get here fast enough. To make things worse am traveling for work the rest of the week and next. So I really do hope the Pre-op diet
