Right now the only thing I can get down is sugarfree popsicles...which sucks! When I try anything else, I get a few seconds of STRONG discomfort between my throat and my chest...it's like the food/liquid is stuck there. Is that heartburn or is that something else?

PROBLEM! I started my preop liquid diet yesterday (today is day 2). Normally I am somebody who does the best of my grazing at night, and I usually graze on snacks. However, on the liquid diet, since I couldnt graze on snacks..........I grazed on popsicles. I mean, the popsicles are sugar free, but they do contain 2g of sugar alcohol (which is like an artificial sweetener) per popsicle. I dont know how many of those I ate. I really am worried. I hope that post surgery I wont be grazing like that.

Day 1 of liquid diet - I had nothing but water with crystal light in it, broth, sugarfree popsicles, and jello. I also drank 2 muscle milks so that I could get my protein in. Did I do alright for day 1 or I should do something different tomorrow?????

I am starting my 2-week preop liquid diet on Monday. I have NEVER done the liquid diet in my entire existence. I would STRONGLY appreciate it if you supportive people gave me ideas of what a typical day looks like on the liquid diet, i.e. breakfast? lunch? dinner? snack?
