Hey girl! You look great!! Congratulations on your success. My surgery is at the end of this month and our body type is similar. I was just wondering if you had to wear body wraps or compression wear for the skin or if you needed it at all. I don't seem to see much information on it and that is my only concern. Once again, congrats. You are an inspiration!

    monica,

My pain comes after eating certain foods (Google what irritates your stomach with gastritis). The pain is HORRIBLE its much more intense than the feeling of cramps and its in the center of stomach. I was in such horrible pain that I couldn't stand, sit or lie down. I took some zantac and the pain went away and now im on prilosec for the month til my tummy heals and I can't eat certain foods (i googled it). I'm also wondering if it isn't my gallbladder because I've always had tummy aches. I would start writing down what you're eating and when you're feeling the pain and see if it goes together. Let me know how it works out for you. Try taking a zantac once the pain starts and if it goes away, then u may have gastritis.

Be careful with the manual puree, it's painful if it isn't smooth enough. It's painful when you're out of puree and onto soft food too lol.

Hi -- I hope that your feeling better soon. . . You're in Bradford? Do you work at Pitt? My daughter goes to college there. Best wishes!

Hi Monica, thanks for the well wishes. Good luck on your surgery tomorrow. Ok, let's start with the hospital stay. I was in from Friday (day or surgery) til Sunday. I had no problems so I asked to go home. The pain is not bad at all. When you wake up from surgery and are in recovery, they will have already admistered pain meds. I had to try about 3 different ones until they found the right one. On a scale of 1-10 I would say the pain is about a 7. Don't forget, all people are different when it comes to pain and how they handle it. I am no longer taking pain meds. My surgery took 1 hour and I was in recovery for about 2-3 hours. You will have a cathater in so you will not have to worry about getting up to pee. The day after surgery, they do the swallow test. It took about 5 minutes and it was not uncomfortable either. I had no problems with it. All you do is drink little sips of the stuff and that's it. It's done before you know it. You will have staples or stitches and you will have the drainage thing sticking out of you. You will have it until you see the doctor for your first follow up and he will take it out then in the office. It is more of a hasle and it doesn't hurt. Keep your stomach clean. I promise you, you will be fine. Just remember to take your pain meds and get up and walk as soon as they let you. The more you walk, the faster your healing process will be. Good luck tomorrow and take care.

This made me cry..

by monicacallahan11 on 04-17-2013 at 12:42 PM
Looking at this old picture (on the left) ..remembering that this was just a year ago.. It makes me sad. To see what I had become. How unhappy I was. How did I let it get that far? When I look at myself now, it's hard to see the change until I see a picture like this...Then it's like.. Omg. Having a serious reality check today. Remembering how sad I was at that time in my life makes me see that I need to get back into my healthy lifestyle routine. Bring on the water, protein shakes and exercise.

Adultery ...

by monicacallahan11 on 04-16-2013 at 12:35 PM
Now I named this blog as such basically to get readers. No I have not committed this, nor do I intend to. I just have some "feelings" I'd like to chat about with you all and see if I'm the only one to experience them.

I've been the "fat" one in the group for as long as I can remember. Even as far back as age 7/8. As I turned into a teenager, and even an adult I found that I never got the male attention like my friends did. The men would come to me and ask me if
