Hi lovely lady thank you for checking on me,I have my week anniversary today and I am fabulous. No pain at all, I have been so very, very lucky with the surgeon and hospital, and really just breezed through it. I'm able to eat, porridge and chicken soup, sometimes it stays in sometime this it's straight out lol. But I'm sure it'll sort its self out. I have a surgeon appointment tomorrow and dietician so will be interested I did ask the surgeon for a copy of the video of the surgery not sure if he will have it for me and I'll get to find out my weight, (I still haven't bought scales). Anyhow have you been? Your tummy photos look great, are you all healed now? Thank you again for checking in on me V

    thank you for the information.
  5. Hey forgot to mention. Dr said he took approx 3 kilos (6.6lbs). That was easy (lol) He also took photos of the surgery for me, he's great and will feature in my second book for my weight loss journey.
  6. Hello again all my sleeve friends, Surgery over and now for recovery. I've documented every detail I can remember which I will post into my blog soon. Sleeping upright is quite a challenge! Pain level is 0/10 with 10 being the worst so I'm really happy with that. I had a pain control button to press when needed but I didn't need it. It's now been taken away today. I'm taking panadol so that is keeping the pain away. I've gone for a walk with a walker this morning - too easy. Frustrated I can't see my new tummy. It's covered in bandages and a big stretchy wrap. Dr came this morning and is very please with how good I am and most likely I'll be able to go home tomorrow - depends on my blood loss count. I'm eating well choosing healthy meals of course. All nursing staff are fantastic here and that really helps too. I feel on top of the world right now so until some news, keep up the great weight losses, take care, Sharon oh, and thank you for your lovely messages, greatly appreciated! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARAH (PINNIE)!!!

HI, well, my surgery went well, the day of was no problem. The next day is when I had some pain and then the xrays with the yucky stuff they get you to drink. On Wednesday the diarrhea started, I wish they would have warned me.
I came home on Wednesday and my hubby is giving me my needles and changing the bandages. It took a little to get used to sipping drinks. I was so scared the first time but I am used to it now. My favorite drink is the protein drink, all 3 flavors, the diluted cranberry and of course popsicles. I have been able to work a little from home. I had black coffee for the first time today. By the time I was finished drinking it, it was ice coffee lol.

Hey Sharon, I am doing well thanks. I am on meds to stop the reflux now which is awesome so I can eat and drink. Yes the stall seams to have come to a stop and scales are starting to move again. I am glad I did measurements. It kept me going and staying positive. Yes less than a month until my birthday which I have to admit I am looking forward to. Please keep in touch and let me know how you go with your op. Will be thinking of you and wish you the best. You have done so well with your journey Take care xxx Sarah

    Hi Sharon,
So glad you are ok! Oh I tell you it has been a rough journey to this point but each day is getting easier now. It has been a week and a half since the sleeve and am finding it easier to move about and get up now. Still a lot of bruising and tenderness but has been so worth it. I am getting much better with my fluid intake now. I have been a bit down because I lost weight very quickly to start with and it seams to have stopped for the last 3 days. Hope it doesn't stay like that for too long. A lot has come of measurement wise though! yay! How are you?
    Sarah

My Journey - A gift for myself

by SaguaroSanctuary on 02-27-2013 at 09:16 PM
This is such a wonderful gift we have given ourselves.

Some useful tips I have from my journey; Take lots of before photos dressed, and in undies, different angles. Take your measurements; neck, bust, arms, thighs, waist, hips and bum! I do this every month on the anniversary of the op. I used a program called PERFECT DIET TRACKER where I could map my progress on a chart, it's really easy to use. I kept my favourite shorts and top and took photos of my progress wearing these when
