Good luck today...it's great that you have your Mom for support and that she has gone thro it and can give you the support and guidance you will need. I make all my own protein shakes using protein that I bought in the states off a website, I just add yogurt, frozen fruit, coconut water, skim milk. Was not very fussy with the ones I bought from the states...I have lots of them and would be more than willing to give them to you so you can try them when you get home.

It'll be so nice to have someone else in the area to talk with and all that. It is sooo common in the states, and doesn't have the same support up here. I watched my mom do this 15 months ago, which helped me make the decision. I'm not as nervous as I think I would be if I hadn't..

Oh the hair loss....the part I am NOT looking forward too! I have a lot of hair but still..I hope your hair loss goes away soon.

HI Vette! Just had my two week post op with my surgeon yesterday, he said everything look great. My stiches are healing well, abit itchy though. I've been bumped up to stage III on the food scale. I'm having alot of heart burn too. I've never experienced it before, kinda sucks. Sorry to hear about your stiches, hope they find a solution for you, do they have to restich? As for exercise, I've gotten my stengh back for about 5 days now, thank goodness! Been walking about a mile and a half a day. My surgeon also cleared me to go to the gym. We'll see! Have you been tolerating warm foods?

Hi Vettebaby, Wasn't that a day, busy office, cramped, noisy, nervous. It was great that you said Hello I was so pleasantly surprised. I was solo so helped. How goes it for you? I am settling in, getting my nurishment (?) Stomack talks contantly and I am so looking forward to blended soups etc. I never had a bad taste from any of the teste drinks, everyone thought I was strange. They had no flavour for me. Small blessings. Shows how we are all unique and must be careful of comparing our progress with others. ALL THE BEST TO US. Cheers Joanne

I can't believe I have finally booked myself for surgery. I am so looking forward to my new life...it's been a long road with many speed bumps along the way...but I'm doing this, and I'm so looking forward to it.
