  1. Family is doing well. Little man started preschool this morning. I managed to hold it together, no tears. I was SO surprised. LOL. He was ready to go though, was dressed and had his back pack on over an hour before it was time to leave. lol I know there won't be too many more years that he loves school this much. So I'll cherish it while I can.

How's things in your world? Tell me something good.

Hey Lady! How are you doing? Wanted to say hi, I was thinking about you and how wonderfully supportive you've been to myself and soooo many others. How you manage that and be a wife and mother... I know you're a fantastic person. Hope you have some 'me' time and continue to be you. Hugs & kisses to the family and please take care.

Hey! I'm fine thanks. Busy, busy and more busy. I seem to have lots of heartburn now-a-days. Is this happening to you by chance?
How have you been? And the family? Hope you're doing fine and thanks for dropping by to say hi.

Hey GIRL!!! I'm happy to see you're doing well and taking Aqua Zumba classes! Look at you, Mamacita! Go 'head, go 'head...
I'm fine, so far lost 35lbs on the 75th day after surgery. Moving better and feeling ALOT more confortable. Sooo glad to see you.
  6. Hi there, I'm feeling great since my surgery. The first few weeks were rough for me. I wasn't losing much at all and I couldn't figure out why. Finally in April I started losing and lost almost 16 lbs in the month of April. Started taking an Aqua Zumba class in April at a local rec center so I'm thinking that helped with the weight loss too. Love my new way of life. How are you doing? How are things going for you? What area do you live in ? I'm in Valley Park. I had my surgery at Des Peres Hospital through the My New Self program. They've taken great care of me. Look forward to hearing more from you. Take care and have a great day.

Hello I saw you made a comment about EAS protein drink. I've seen them in the store and wondered how good or bad. I'm not a huge chocolate fan. I think its the thickness to the heavyness of protein drinks I don't like. I'm just wanting a little more detail on this drink if you don't mind... thank you!

Hey Cindy! How did it go? How are you feeling? Going to doctors office Monday to have the drain removed. Yikes! My first day was HELL ON EARTH, hope yours was better. I'm a scale stocker now and I REALLY have to stop. My weight is fluctuating by 4lbs... oops I'm obsessing again. Haaa...
We'll journey together, be strong and hang in there. It's getting better everyday.

14 Weeks Post Op

by Rjbsmommy on 05-25-2012 at 10:02 AM
I'm done feeling bad about how little I've lost. Not going to get discouraged when I see others who've lost more in less time. I am me and I'm doing the best I can. Seeing progress and that's all that matters. Right?!!

So yesterday I had a post op check with my surgeon. In the past month I've lost 14.8 lbs for a total of 42.2 lbs (as of yesterday, today I'm at 43.2 lbs lost) He was happy. Told me that 15 lbs a month is a great rate of loss. This is the first visit since my surgery

Awkward Moment.... yikes!

by Rjbsmommy on 04-26-2012 at 11:51 AM
Soooo here I sit at 35 lbs gone... feeling on top of the world.... then I read where someone who had their surgery 5 days earlier than me has lost 90 lbs! WOW!!!!! No disrespect to her, she's earned it. I know that couldn't have been easy, and I know everyone is different. I do have to admit though, it did make me wonder, what in the hell am I doing so wrong?

Sooo of course I head over to my facebook page to whine about it.

I know..... everyone is different,

Quinoa... my new best friend.. all kinds of good things in my world. Love this!

by Rjbsmommy on 04-23-2012 at 01:03 PM
Sooo I finally got brave enough to try out Quinoa and... I LOVED it. Made a recipe off of Pinterest and it was super yummy. Hubby even loved it.

So many new things in my life these days and I'm loving them all.

Had a small victory yesterday during my Aqua Zumba class, we were doing our cool down stretches, and the stretch where you bend your leg backwards and grab your ankle and stretch. I can't even remember the last time in my adult life that I was able to do that

Been gone a couple of weeks from here and missed it.

by Rjbsmommy on 04-10-2012 at 09:57 AM
I've been SO busy the past few weeks. Missed being here to post.

My Mom was sick and in the hospital, thankfully she's better and back at her nursing home.

Big changes for me though, lots of small victories.

There was a time when my Mom being in the hospital would have given me the internal free pass to eat what I wanted and as much as I wanted.

The first day she was in the hospital, lots of uncertainty, I was really stressed. It

The Scale Is Moving... in the right direction!!!

by Rjbsmommy on 03-22-2012 at 08:34 AM
I've worked really hard this week to make sure that I've been getting my 64 ozs of water/fluids each day, and I've focused on eating as much protein as I can.

It seems to be working !!!!! I'm down 2.6 lbs with a total of 19.6 since surgery.
