Forty-three days post-op . . . and I feel GREAT . . . BUT . . . I went out to dinner with a group of co-workers a couple nights ago. We ate at an Asian restaurant and I ordered chicken and broccoli and I ate only the chicken, knowing that my new tiny stomach handles chicken quite well. I've just completed week #1 of the pre-op diet and I know the next 7 days are going to fly by fast . . . especially since my yearly internal financial audit at work starts two days before my surgery . . . my mind is jumping all over the place these days!! It's difficult to stay focused! I'll hand over all my financial records for the past year on Monday and then go have surgery on Wednesday! Gastroscopy-done. Blood-work-done. Monthly visits to dietician & co.-2 more to go. Psych appt-done. Approval/support letter from my primary care physician-done. Health insurance approval-crossing my fingers. Follow-up with my sleeve surgeon-a week away. The 6-month wait is flying by quickly. I'm mentally preparing myself while looking at all the clothes in my closet that haven't fit in years, if ever. Yes, there are moments when I ask myself if I really need to take this drastic step . . . then
