I had my surgery 32 days ago. So far I'm down 24 lbs.
I'm proud of my weight loss because I know that if I didn't have the surgery I wouldnt have lost the weight. I'm also disappointed that I have lost more weight.
I am being to really realize now that I have an unhealthy relationship with food No matter what surgery you have, if you don't deal with the underlying issues, be it low self esteem, food addiction, loneliness, or what ever the reason, you gotta work on that first.

Hi everybody, thanks for all the well wishes.
Had surgery yesterday @ dekalb med in Atl, all went well. I had lots of pain when I first went into recovery. After that pretty much little to no pain, once I got up and walked, felt better.
For those of u who r pre op, here's a few things I wasn't aware of:
1. Wonder why they dont tell u to take a laxative? 2 days of clear liquids and soup will clean u out! U will feel tired of peeing put ur butt.
2. U will get a blood thinner

My surgery is this coming Monday and it's finally hitting me that my life will be changing... big time.
I'm totally excited and happy. I guess my nerves is just starting to kick in.
I'm totally engrossed in reading blogs and post from people who recently had the surgery to see what I should expect.
I know this is a change for the good.
Prayfully i will have little to no pain afterwards.
