Thanks for joining! I appreciate your perspective brought on by time! I feel similarly in areas already...I feel things now that I was preventing from surfacing by being obese and not caring. Something has to happen to those feelings since I don't want to eat them away...I am encouraged by your exercise outlet. Thanks!

Thanks for joining ,your exp. is needed . and let them talk, thats what people do when they don't have a life.
  3. Thanks for that! I am really upset today b/c i heard through the grapevine at work that someone said I dresssed inappropiately b/c i wore leggings. Supposedly the issue will be taken up in our monthly staff meeting, and I am sure will be a general statement to everyone, but I guess i was complained about specifcally. I am so self conscience about everything I wear as it is. If I wear one thing, someone at work will say that is too big on you and looks sloppy. If i try to look nice someone else will say why do u always have to look so nice? I dont think i am anyone special and b/c of past insecurites i still can't get over them. so i really let things get to me and bother me and that is something i need to get under control otherwise i will be upset all the time. I wish i had confidence in who i am. i think i am way too trusting and wear my feelings on my sleeve, which allows people's comment to bother me.
I am going to the gym now when i normally would be choosing to eat to make myself feel better. I am going to take out my frustrations on thread mill. sometimes you have to get so pissed off and have an outlet besides eating. does that makes sense?

I am still waiting for my sleeve but I have read others post about the mental challenges with this surgery. There is a couple of youtube channels I watch where they had the sleeve and are really having a hard time. I think they cope by blogging through youtube videos. I will look up their names and let you know...they offer up their experiences along with what helps them. So far I have found this to be a wonderful place to look for support, to be able to connect with folks in the same exact situation that we are or will be faced with. Do you mind me asking what kind of mental challenges you are facing? If that is too personal to share I completely understand and respect that also. I haven't experienced what it is like yet to be sleeved but if you would like someone to listen i'm here!

Thank you so much! That unknown is something else! I look forward to being able to not use an extender, get on rides, bend down, tie my shoes, walk without stopping, not worry about breaking furniture, the list goes on and on. To be healthier, what a concept that I thought was out of my reach!
  7. I am sorry. I didn't realize it was your wife who had the surgery. That is wonderful that you support her in this, as it is easier when loved ones are involved. My husband thinks its as easy as just not eating, but is willing to go to the gym with me, which is nice. Good luck to you both, and it is encouraging to hear of your success through Weight Watchers!

The pic is 1 year old, and you are right I have not had the sleeve. I am on her to support my wife who was sleeved on my ticker date. I have been losing my weight via weight watchers over the past 6 years. At my max weight I was 398 lbs. I am now holding my own at 255 hoping to make it back down to 215 again.
