    Most doctors use a size 32 bougie which for some is standard, others prefer a 34 or 36. Depending on the patient you may want to use a bigger bougie if they have co-morbidies, or elderly to relive pressure off the patient most doctors will use a bigger bougie size. A size 34-36 holds about the same amount. It is not to much difference.
