Thank you for being you and sharing your comments with me in response to my blog. I needed to hear what you had to say(write). Really helps. I am now resolved not to let anyone turn me into a blubbering idiot again like that. I can just hang up and continue with my day. Thanks for caring. You look GREAT!!!

Thank you so much for replying...i need encouragement. My operation date is 25 march i am apprehensive but i know i need to do this. I have struggled all my life with my weight. May i add you as a friend and may we keep in touch? My friends and family in England are not supportive of this and are actually worried and angry with me for opting for this..It is hard to explain to thin people who don't have weight problems that this is important. I was so shocked at my 2 closest friends reactions. Maybe they are scared for me...but both think I could lose weight on my own.. but in 53 years i haven't managed it yet. To the point now where I have been told i have the beginnings of diabetes so i cant carry on the way i am. Have you any tips or wise words that might help me? My operation will be in Tennessee - Look forward to hearing from you Heather

I had a month with no weight loss. Then I went to Albuquerque and lost 4pounds. My Dr is happy with my 6 month progress, and thinks I should consider staying at 177. No way i still have at least 13 to go making that 160. I too have no real hunger, I can't eat much but doing ok. Keep in touch, it's great to hear from you!

Hello there. So I have a question that maybe you can help me with. In one of your posts you discussed how the hormonal changes post surgery has made you start your periods again (after what I assume was a long time without) Not to be too gross...but I have started again and this time it's like I'm a teenager again with a lot of cramping and a cycle that is taking a lot longer than before. Is this similar to what you experienced? I'm a bit freaked out. I was a once or twice "Surprise" girl a year for the past hmmmm....10-13 years. I had a pap done last week and have a gyn. apt next week as there were some "abnormal" cells. I am just wondering if they are abnormal because they are coming back (with gusto) or if it could be age related. Again, I know it's not a pleasant topic, but knowledge of another lady who has 'restarted' is helpful.

Almost 3 years post op and back to basics after weight regain

by aboutime4me on 04-20-2015 at 09:05 AM
Hi everyone, I will be celebrating 3 yrs post op this May 1st. My sleeve has been thee greatest thing in my life. I haven't been here in quite some time and am "turning myself in" to the group for accountability and mutual support.

None of us can do this alone and for me I know it is something I will have to work with for the rest of my life. The sleeve does not miraculously give us weight loss that will last. The sleeve does not get rid of our emotional response to

Two Year Surgiversary

by aboutime4me on 04-30-2014 at 11:48 PM
On the eve of my 2 year surgiversary many thoughts are going through my head. I am so grateful to God for bringing me to the surgery, seeing me through the process and recovery and 95 lb weight loss. It has been like a true miracle for me, a dream that has seen my life change in many respects.

I have been able to maintain the weight loss within 2-3 lbs of my settling in weight, I like to call it. My initial goal was 154 and I got to 157 lbs and after time my body settled

Motorcycle Gal Living Life Again

by aboutime4me on 03-10-2014 at 08:39 AM
Life has changed so much since my sleeve on May 1st of 2012. I can hardly believe it will be two years in a few months. My personal confidence has soared especially on my job. I no longer inwardly feel like a fat blob. I'm proud of myself especially since I've been able to maintain this weight loss of 95 lbs, within 2-3 lbs of my lowest weight...for the very first time in my entire 55 yrs of life! That is a real miracle for me.
One of my greatest joys has returned in being able to ride

Day 609 after sleeve surgery and LOVING IT!

by aboutime4me on 12-30-2013 at 08:18 PM
It's the end of another calendar year for all of us and I just wanted to share my personal experience and journey with my best friend, my sleeve. I was sleeved 609 days ago and am absolutely in LOVE with my best friend!

I dropped 95 lbs in about 11 months after surgery and have been easily maintaining my weight loss within 2-3 lbs of my lowest weight ever since.

My surgery was uncomplicated, I had not real after problems and pretty steadily dropped the pounds over

Radio spot, TV commercial and UTube Video oh my!

by aboutime4me on 10-29-2013 at 08:58 AM
Hey all, I'm at the end of my 17th month post surgery now. Yesterday I just finished filming for a youtube video for my surgeon and the hospital where I had my surgery. I also did a radio commercial a few months ago, a print ad that will be out next month and a tv commercial to be aired sometime in March, I believe. They will all be aired locally here in Las Vegas.
Why am I telling you this? Well, it's to say to those thinking about having the procedure, that there is success with the
