Katy, I have found a support group here in Tally. If you want to talk on the phone, Ill tell you about it. They welcome people who are considering surgery, have a date set, or have already had it done. They meet once a month at a different restaurant (anywhere from 4-15 people.) Below is the link to the group's page. Create a yahoo id (if you don't already have one) and join. The person who runs it is Joanne. She is really nice. The next meeting is February 7th at 6:30 pm at Cody's Roadhouse on Capital Circle NE.

Thanks, I am so excited! After all these years I think I have finally found a solution to my never ending hunger. I just decided two weeks ago to do this. I have been to the seminars on lap band and when I heard about this I wanted this instead. I am going to Mexico to have mine. My insurance does not cover it, so I checked with some friends of mine in Tx, and found Dr Alvarez. I am just starting the liquids, and boy is it ever rough. How long were you on liquids?
