Glad to hear you are doing well. I just weighed this morning and I am down 42lbs. I am the same as you as far as the clothes go. How can a person lose 40 pounds and still be in the same size clothes? LOL I guess they must have been too tight on me to begin with and I just ignored it. Now they are very comfortable. LOL I can eat just about anything. The only things I have a hard time with is rich food like something ala creme at mexican restaraunts which I LOVE!!!! I have not had a soda since my surgery either and I really dont miss it that much. I do feel like I am eating too much but I guess as long as I am losing I must be doing ok!! Have you gone to any of the support meetings? I wold like to go to one and just see what they are like. Anyway, heading to work. Nice to hear from you. Hope to hear back soon!!

Hi Punky...Well? How are things going? I have lost a total of 27 lbs but that is including the 11 I lost during the 2 week pre op. How much have you lost? I am having a really hard time with the amount of food I eat. My head is totally telling me to eat, eat, eat, but my tummy says no and I end up with a tummy ache a lot of times. That is even after only eating about 1/2 cup. Let me know how you are doing....

I want to lose 100 lbs. That will put me at about 125 lbs. I am just under five feet tall, so I can afford to lose it!

Sorry I have posted on the main boards in the after surgery---I am doing great. Have my one week follow-up this morning and hoping to move to soft foods for 2 weeks. Went back to work yesterday from home (I sit in a chair and take inbound calls for tech support), kind of tired today--8 hours sitting in a chair was a bit long.

As you can see, I have my days and nights mixed up since my surgery....LOL It is 3:30 Am and cant get back to sleep. Anyway, My tube comes out today, Friday. It is also my first dr appt since surgery. I am not looking forward to the pulling out of the tube...UGH!!!! Like I said, I am in the medical field and used to work with breast cancer patients and when we would do a masectomy, they would have a drain in and come to the office to have it taken out and some women would really cry. I will be happy when it is out!!!
As far as what I have been eating? Pretty much the exact same thing as you. I start in the morning with a protein shake and the about lunch time I open a can of soup, whether it be chicken broth, beef broth, or tomatoe soup, and for the next 4-6 hours, I warm it up, sip on it, warm it up, sip on it and then before bed I try to get in a sugar free jello. I am with you on the water though. I love water but since the surgery, it just isnt the same. Or maybe it is because I cant gulp ice cold water down now. I also feel like I am eating too much but when a friend calls and asks what I have had to eat so far for the day, it doesnt sound like much at all. I have though been thinking about food that I can really chew. Not that I am hungry, but I miss chewing real food. LOL
OK I am going to go back and lay in bed and try to get a few more hours of sleep. Let me know how your dr appt goes today and I will do the same!!!

Hi Punkypoo! I'm new here, but just want to say good luck to you! I'm excited to hear about how everything goes for you.

I know I hate feeling hungry all the time. I'm not being as strict as I should on pre op. I need to go to store to get clear liquids. I have a ton of protein shakes though. I know I will get sick of those but it is so worth it!!

sounds great!!!!! I'm so excited!!!!!!! I have to be at the hospital at 8:30, can't wait to not be hungry, I feel like i'm starving on this pre op diet. I have all my stuff ready to just eaiting for the surgury which seems like forever
