Hi Kat, my name is Dana and I'm in Springfield also, however my surgery was through Cox South. I'm a little stumped why you had to go to mexico for yours, I would think a nurse would have good insurance. Congratulations on being 11 pds from your goal, how are you feeling almost a year later?

You go to groups then find the Missouri one and join. And post in the forums u want i was gonnna go to Almanza but wasnt sure about the " clinic" so changed to Garcia in a new hospital, i had lapband 5 yrs ago in MX and need it removed due to complications and i am getting the revision to the sleeve. Hopefully i will bounce back depends on how much scar tissue i have etc....

Hi just saw you were from Springfield, im from Lake of the Ozarks so we r only abiut an hr apart! My bff and myself r going to MX to b sleeved on March 20 th.....the more support the better....come join us in the Missouri group. Wishing you a speedy recovery! I noticed that you ride, I do too and I am so excited to ride a whole lot lighter. I rode from Omaha to San Jose Ca. last summer and it was really quite a challange at my size. This year is going to be so much fun. Let me know how you are doing.

Hey,Kat! Who is your doctor? I did my surgery in mexico (dr.Alvarez) and loved everything about him! From what I hear there are some great doctors and some not-so-great, so as long as you do your research, you will be fine.
