8 Days til Sleeve Day!!!!

OMG!!! I just had exactly 7 seconds of panic where I realized that my surgery is next Tuesday (4/24/12)!!! No worries, I'm cool now. I think it was more of a "Now that my surgery is next week, time is really flying" kind of realization...lol. I'm SO excited!!!!! Good luck to all my fellow sleevers who will be sleeved this week!!!! God bless you all!! OAN: I think I'm gonna go ahead and shop for my post-op liquid diet. Even if I just buy some soups, broths, and a couple of protein supplement

I can't believe that I am typing this.... but on Friday (3/30/12), my surgeon coordinator called me with my surgery date. It is Tuesday, April 24, 2012. Thank you Jesussssss!!!! I am SO excited!!! I think I am a little too excited, so it hasn't clicked in my head yet. My nutrition class is scheduled for April 13, and My pre-admission testing is scheduled for April 18. I am so thankful!! I guess I should start trying out some of the protein powders, huh? Any suggestions for powders/ shakes/ purees

I'm still so excited! My first consulation was 1/4/12, and I've had my upper GI series test on 1/9/12. The nurse called me and told me that everything looked normal although my liver enzymes were elevated (Yay!) My aunt-in-law went to her consultaion with a different doctor today and found out that she should be having the surgery by late March/ early April as well! Her insurance wouldn't approve the Sleeve, so she is going with the bypass. Although I'm 26 and she is 65, at least I can have someone
