Lisa hello... I live in Billings and am just getting started with my journey! You are very inspiring! Can I ask you where you had your surgery? What are some pointers you have for a fellow MT lady? Thanks in advance for any information or pointers you could give me.

Lisa, I am from Missoula Montana and I have scheduled surgery for the 22nd of July with Dr. Almanza, I was just hoping to hook up with a friend on her from Montana, but it looks as if there are only three counting myself from our entire state. I will message the one from Libby also. You look amazing and I so can't wait until July I am so excited, but nervous and scared also!! Hope to hear from you.

    Hey Lisa,

I'm doing great! You look amazing! Me and the hubby love our sleeves, we would do it again in a heartbeat. Right now I'm kinda in a stall I haven't lost anything in a while. But I'm very happy where I am. I love being able to shop in any store I walk into!!!

Hi Lisa, I was reading Your post about revision surgery. It was very helpful and informative. I've done a lot of research but your post gave me the courage to have it done. Thank you so much. Now I need to find a surgeon. Could you give some information on dr. almanza like how to get in touch with him and prices. Thank you in advance. If you can think of anything else I might need please feel to contact me.

    Lisa,
I think the coolest thing about this is that it's non reversible. I guess with the band, I always knew I could have it loosened or tightened or whatever I needed. Unfortunately when it was loose, the weight came, and when it was tighter, the puking and food stuck happened. I like best that I can eat sitting down and that I can burp too. I know when my sleeve is full. There are times that I know I over eat. No puking for me, but I do get to an uncomfortable stage, and it's my sleeve saying "stop, we are done!"..... Amazing how you look, you are so gorgeous! Keep up the good work for you too... summer, can't wait to see how we will look. Stunning while sunning, I say! Keep in touch! Kris

Hello there! So, it's been awhile.........how are you feeling?
Just wanted to touch base with you and check in to see how the loss is going... I'm down from 246 to 174............hovering here for a bit, we shall see where we are next week. My goal is 140, so not much farther to get there.......and so much better than that stupid lapband!

what is the digestion like? Warm weather is here now, so get out and start loving life on the thinner side. Been thinking about you and hope all is well!
    Take care, drop a line!

You look so Amazing and give me hope, I seem to be struggling with stalls and was wondering if you have any suggestions on what you do when you have them, I am really good with food actually I am never hungry so i wonder if i am not eating enough but i do do at a min of 4 protien drinks a day that equal 28 grams of protein each and are carb free. I love to eat breakstones low fat cottage chesse 4oz servings for many of my meals so anyways this is way i get fustrated because i am not even cheating with bad stuff. I work out everyday for min of 60 mins and i am talking strong cardio along with weights after, I see many other dropping much more then i have and just wonder what i am doing wrong one thing i struggle with is not drinking enough water but could this really be the problem, sorry for rambling but i just was wondering if you would be willing to share a sample of your daily intake and what exercising you are doing becuase you are my total inspiration, I mean i know i am losing lots of inches and have droped 5 pants sizes but the scale just seems to not move like my brain needs it to or wants it to, Like i said Id love any feed back you would be willing to share thanks for reading

Enough food for me... and a growing baby?

by lisamarie0814 on 09-20-2012 at 08:46 AM
So I've had the most amazing journey so far - I was 9 months post op on the 14th and I've lost 70 pounds and am only 6 pounds away from my goal. My starting weight was 227 and I'm now 156.8. I'm super excited for my achievements, but now I'm worried that (1) I won't stop losing, because I'm not watching my calories/intake at all anymore because I'm at a weight that I'm happy at, and (2) am I going to be able to eat enough to sustain the life of a growing baby? I'm graduating from nursing school

8 Months Post-op (with pics)!!!

by lisamarie0814 on 08-24-2012 at 08:37 AM
Hey everyone!
So on the 14th I was 8 months post-op from my band to sleeve revision! I started my journey at 227 pounds and I'm now down to 160! So I'm down 67 pounds My goal is 150 and I'm realizing that I'm going to have to bust my butt HARD to get there because I've been sitting at 160-162 for over a month now... so it's time to kick it into overdrive to get to my goal! Before surgery I was a size 16/18 (busting out) jeans, size XL-1X shirts - I just went and bought a bunch of new

14 Pounds to my GOAL!

by lisamarie0814 on 07-08-2012 at 05:23 PM
So I'm not quite 7 months post-op, I will be on the 14th. I'm currently down to 164 - I was 227 when I started my pre.op diet in December which means I've currently lost 63 pounds! I had a lap band to sleeve revision surgery so I was expecting to lose the weight at a much slower rate - I know there are lots of people who have lost weight at a much faster rate than I have, but I will definitely take the weight that I have lost! I'm hoping to be able to lose these last 14 pounds within the next few

51 pounds down! (with pics)

by lisamarie0814 on 04-07-2012 at 06:35 PM
I'm super stoked as I hit 176 yesterday (today down to 175) and I'm 51 pounds down from my pre-op diet and FEEL fantastic! I have another 25 pounds to go to my goal I had my hubby take a pic of me before surgery and we took one yesterday with me in the same shorts and sports bra so I could really "see" the difference, because I'm having a hard time seeing how much my body has changed - even though the weight has come off I'm still working on mentally knowing that I'm no longer "obese"

2nd Goal Met!

by lisamarie0814 on 03-13-2012 at 06:03 PM
So my first goal was to be back in ONEderland - which I achieved back in January. My 2nd goal was to reach 180 - and when I got on the scale this morning I was 180.0! I'm SUPER stoked! Only 30 more pounds to go before I reach my goal weight! I had a great weekend of shopping for new clothes - and I'm finally able to buy jeans from American Eagle! I walked out with 2 pairs of jeans from there - and all of the tops I bought were a L no longer an XL! I feel fabulous - now I just need to kick my exercise
