We need to recruit some folks for the Bakersfield Group.

They gave us a chance to choose our surgeon in the Kaiser classes but how do you choose when you don't know anything about any of them?
I finally got a letter from the nurse saying I should have an appointment for a consultation within two weeks. I had to call several times to see why I had not heard anything. Terry said it was because I did not finish with the class but had to make up one class.

Yeah, I have same issue with protein shakes, I loved them before surgery but now I just don't want them. I find every excuse not to drink them. I don't understand why....
I am finishing my 2nd full liquid week, and actually looking forward to mushy food. I mean, I ve been blending all my soups and they kinda come out mushy so I don't know how next week is going to be much different, but I ve been loosing a lot of weight, most likely from not eating much of anything.I ve become this annoying picky eater... And don't like Anything. Hmmm mm

Thank you for your support. This is the first time back on since my surgery. I feel really good. The surgery went amazing with little pain just a lot of soreness but was gone by 4 days post op. I am still working on the protein shakes for i find it almost impossible to get the required amount in. but im still trying. Im sure i will continue to learn as we go. Again thank you for your concern.

are they puting you on a 2week liquid diet?? I am on day 3 and so far so good..but 2wks seems insane lol

I am in WV. I am going to have the surgery 1/16. I originally was going to 1/28. I am nervous also!! LOL

I ams so sorry that i am just responding. To answer your question he was chosen for me. I had really wanted to see Dr Naik because i have heard so many positive things about him but i wanted to give Dr Garcia a chance. The first time i met him i knew i was going to like him. He made me feel very comfortable and he answered all my questions. I would totally recommend him. I hope this helps. ARe you in Bakersfield? I would love to keep in touch...im so nervous and i dont know anyone else who has had this surgery.
