did you hear quest bars were pulled cause they have saw dust in them??
LOL, your soo funny, I'm still very swollen, so no six pack yet. I have to wear this uncomfortable compression garment, to help with the swelling. But I guess I have to do what I have to do. What the heck is your wife waiting for? I thought she already went thru classes...and aww thats sweet of you to let her get the plastics, instead of your self. I think its easier for a man to hide all the extra skin, rather then a woman. Well good luck to her..and continues success to you David..
Hi David, hope all is well. I had my TT w lipo on my flanks. I'm not or have been in a lot of pain. I am already back at work.
My friend you look amazing. I am thinking about the sleeve. Do you have any regret? What was the most difficult time. Louis
Thank you very much for that information. It is very helpful. I'm sure I will be told that when I go for surgery. Just excite to have info before surgery. I have seen your before and after. Looking awesome by the way
Hello David, I'm having the sleeve done in Dec. I saw one of your post were you said to only eat 600 cal how long should I do that for after the sleeve?
Definitely want to keep in touch. I've been kind of flakey about being on here. It's all the same questions. Were we ever that stressed about the surgery? ;-) I know Kaiser gave us stricter guidelines than most of the people here, but I'm glad for that because it has worked. I am drinking once in a while and having caffeine once in a while despite what they've said, but I have refrained from doing so on a regular basis. But it seems like there are some militant people on here about not being strict who aren't so nice, so I've backed off a bit from the forums. One girl told me that recording your food was bad because it could lead to an eating disorder. She was complaining about having no energy & it sounded like she wasn't having enough protein, but she didn't want to hear that. Anyway, I don't check everyday anymore like I used to now.
read second--- I bet it feels "real" hard to believe we are closing in a year post op! What a ride it has been! One I would do over in a heartbeat I know what you mean, I no longer feel obese. I do have a hard time excepting the word skinny though. The other day someone said I was petite and so tiny, and I just don't feel that yet. I know I look better, and I am now smaller than the average woman (size 10, they say the average size is 14). It is mind over matter. As far as plastic surgery, I am lucky that I don't think I will need it. I do have some loose skin, but nothing bad. I can even wear a bikini and it isn't noticable so I don't think I will go through another surgery. BUT, when I lost this last 29lbs, if it makes a significant difference in what I have now I will definitely consider it. I hate my arms the most, but have seen the scars from upper arm lifts and I am not sure I want those either, lol. Strength training is awesome! Tone what you have lost!! You have already changed your body and life style so much that I don't see you having a heart attach anytime soon!! Good for you and keep it up!!! I have thought about going back to the shakes. Not that it is warm I can see myself doing them instead of food. A good cleanse from carbs and sweets would be a great idea for me. Might just do that starting Monday (have company all weekend). Keep in touch, we can cheer each other on and keep us on track and hit goal!!!!!
She told me the same, that I had lost 47% of my excess weight and that is what they expect to see and 2 years out, so that was a good feeling. But she also said that 142 was the weight in my chart that they would like me to get down to! I am so determined to get there!!! She also said the same she said to you that we will continue to lose for up to 2 years. That makes me so happy!! I have 29lbs until goal! I NEED to get there!!!
Hey there! I didn't want to hijack the other thread so I thought I would message you here Dr Fedorka didn't give me the goal weight, his PA did at my 5 month check up. She said that 142 would put me in the "normal" BMI category I hear ya on the inconsistencies. I exercise then I don't, I eat good then I don't. I am also down to just losing 1-3 lbs a month vs 5-8. I hope now that summer is here and I am much more active that I will be more consistent. I stopped logging on MFP for now because I felt like food and exercise were consuming me. I needed a break to just me "normal". I have lost another lb so I think the less stress is helping. I know I need to journal though to keep on track so I will start again soon. Hang in there! You look amazing and 220's is awesome!!!! =)
Hey, I just wanted to tell you that today I tried your pulled pork you suggested. Came out great. Thank you so much for sharing the root beer idea with me. Really appreciated.
Hey! I'm doing pretty well. Just have a couple vitamin deficiencies I'm taking supplements for (or will be within the next week, once they're mailed to me). Potassium (which makes a LOT of sense) and Vitamin A. Fun times. Yeah, I haven't been around as much lately. Not so much because I'm bored with the boards, but because of the traveling and now trying to get back into a routine is proving kind of tough for some reason. I guess after being gone for a year, getting used to everything in your own place again takes some time! Vacation was good.. I did pretty well. I didn't restrict myself as much as I would have, but I enjoyed myself and hell, I was on vacation! I brought my protein shakes, and my family did a pretty good job of knowing what I could and couldn't eat, so they made things I could eat as well (which was really nice). I did have a couple bites here and there of things I wouldn't have eaten back home, but we did a ton of walking, so I figured it was okay. I did lose 3.5 lbs, though! Happy with that. In the last two weeks, I've dropped 10. Crazy, right? Must be doing something right. Glad you're out of your stall! Those can be super frustrating. How are you doing otherwise? Saw you hit the big 1-0-0! Congrats!
Much hotter than Arrowhead!! LOL, I think they are in the 70's now, dipping into the 40's at night. We are just now hitting 70's at night here. Sounds like our sleeves are the same size! Glad to know mine isn't freakishly small I was going through the sample menu they give us and I tried a few meals and there was no way in heck I could finish all the food they have on there. I should try and bump it up and hit 80g, most days I struggle to hit 60g and had a few days I actually hit 70g. Yumm, carbs...I know what you mean. I am happy to be out of the pureed stage and far away from mashed potatoes. I had two crackers yesterday at a BBQ and they tasted so good. I told myself no more until I am at goal. I could easily see myself getting on a carb cycle. I also have not reintroduced bread of any kind. I know it says we can have toast now, but I don't even want to start that. I ordered some more protein shakes so hopefully that will get me back on the kick of having more. Right now all I have is the Nectar Fuzzy Navel which I really like, but I reordered chocolate Glad your back on track. After this stall I am looking forward to seeing another big drop (as least I am praying for one)
Hi David! I miss talking with you! The heat is still on in Havasu, lol! 108 today. Suppose to start cooling down in the next two weeks (so they say) I am doing well. Can't wait to be on a regular diet! One more week! I am eating chicken and fish. Staying away from red meat and pork. It is way to hard to not get protein eating vegetarian As it is I am still drinking 1- 1 1/2 protein shakes a day just to reach 60g of protein. I feel like I have a tiny sleeve. The most it will hold is 3oz of cottage cheese (soft) and maybe 2oz of meat if I eat super slow (45 mins) I know in time it will hold more, but right now I am not getting very much protein in 2-3oz lol. That and never being hungry I tend to just drink all day. How are you doing? Has to feel amazing to pass that 100 mark!!!
I have never been to the outlet, We will have to go! I love the JCP in montclair, I couldnt stand the one in VG. The one in montclair is always neat and clean and everything is easy to find!! Nice of the lady to give you 20% that always helps especially in weight loss! I cant wait to buy a smaller pair of pants. I have worn the same size for 10 years!
