  1. Hit onederland!! Haven't seen these numbers for over 36 years!
  2. Been a long time since I have updated my info...but all is well. I am now able to follow a wheat/grain/sugar free in combination of the Paleo lifestyle. Still have to watch my speed with eating though...and drinking when I eat...is this a southern thing?? LOL

    Happy Birthday!
  4. So many changes since my surgery in January this year. The biggest one is finding my true self. I always knew that a gastric sleeve was only a tool. But little did I know just how valuable this tool is in so many more ways than one to lose weight.

Not only am I losing weight, I have gained a whole new perspective of myself.

I remember panics of what, when, how over food. About 4 months post op, I realized I no longer had to have a diet mentality. Focusing on food was not the answer.

I began to focus on my "withinness". As I allowed myself to do this, I relaxed. I am now off all medications I took for years up until the weight began to fall off.

I no longer "hide" my writings, I now share them with the world. I practice living in the moment, not worrying about the past or the future.

I am very thankful of my decision to have the surgery and would not take anything for it because of the outcome.

I don't intend to imply it is an easy road, but it is well worth it.

    Namaste

Good Luck on your surgery! Praying for a speedy recovery for you!
  7. Also wanted to say that I enjoy the forum, but I don't post a whole lot or comment much because there are so many different doctors with different instructions it can sometimes be confusing for some. And can be frightening to some also.

My advice to others is to follow your gut feeling, listen to YOUR body and your doctor of choice. I understand there good and bad experiences, but that is true here in the states also.

I wish everyone well being and hope you all have pleasant experiences.
  8. Finally back...was sick, sick, sick with a big kidney stone and got it taken care of about a week ago, glad that is over with.

Well, time is getting closer for me. A lot of different feelings going on as it gets closer too.

I went through a hell that I would not wish on my worst enemy when I had my knee replacement. Because of that, I know that I am in a much better place now and this will be different. I have my husband, who is my everything, right beside me through all of this...that is the most important thing.

You see, when I had my knee replaced, I was all alone, living on an island in Alaska. I was married at the time, but no support, and no friends or family around. I have never in my life felt so alone and lost...for 3 years. I lived up there for 7 years and I call it my 7 years in Tibet, if you have seen that movie, you know what I mean.

A couple of years ago, I moved back home to Texas, got a divorce, met my husband and started a whole new life. So, with all the lessons I learned when I lived in Alaska, I know this will be different....very different....and I am ready for this new path on my journey.....so humbled and grateful I have my soul mate beside me!
  9. Surgery is Jan 16 in Tijuana Mexico.

The cost of acu was about 40.00, but that was several years ago....it was like a meditation and I almost went to sleep I was so relaxed.... it did not hurt at all, it hurts worse to get your ears pierced...lol.
They all probably have different ways of setting up the atmosphere though.

What kind of surgery did you have on your feet?

Have u had surgery yet? Does acu hurt? How much did it cost u and how many sessions did you go to.. I work with people who have severe mental illness and we spent 75% out of the office. Our work is done in the community. So, I spend time on my feet. Last night I just broke down and cried and talked to God. I am praying that with acu and surgery there is relief in between.
