I am learning that if I am afraid of something, I will do it! Then the fear is gone. it's been a long journey for me ( almost 4 yrs), I also live in AZ. Keep in touch. To your success! God bless you. Barb

So sorry! I havn't been on the site for a long time. I am doing great! The first few days were not great...was dealing with nausea (pain med related mostly). did much better without the meds and the pain was not bad at all. My weight loss has been steady...about 12 pounds a month. I can eat about anything and not a big sweet fan anymore which is funny. Dr. Blackstone and Dr. Reynoso are both great and have lots of people there to help you be successful. Don't worry! You will do great

My date is so attached to the end of the school year that I literally have a backwards countdown going on. We are leaving the day after graduation, which is 8 weeks from tomorrow. HOLY COW. 8 weeks!!!

I am counting down the days.... 61 days today. I have been putting this off for soooo long.. not having the money at the last minute, blah blah blah.. but not this time. I am stealing my own money and running for the border!

thanks for posting on my page. So exciting having the surgery on the same day. I just got the date and I am not freaking out yet, but I will. yes has been a long torturing journey that brought us here and we have to do the best to make our new life a different one. Glad to be together on this.

Thanks, good luck to you too. I've seen the Dr. a couple times. I won't see him again before surgery. I still have to have some tests. They have you do a chest x-ray and then a scope of your esophagus and stomach, blood work. I have to get all that done about 30 days before surgery so right now I am just waiting, waiting....it seems so far away.

Thanks Dianna. Im working with SHC Bariatric Center as well...just waiting to hear from insurance on their decision. (Finger, arms, toes, and anything else I can think of crossed hoping for an approval).
