Well, I'm a little under 4 weeks away from my surgery, I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I'll be starting preop diet in about 1 week or so. This site has been so informing and I look forward daily to reading all the posts. Good luck to everyone,and I'm looking forward to what's ahead. I'll keep everyone posted. Hi Patch you can do it! I'm nervous but I know I need to get it done too! You need to be around for the grand kids you might have! My cholesterol was a bit high too and I am diabetic. I'm 35 years old. I want to see my kids grow up. My family has a huge history of diabetes and I'm scared! I need to lose around 70 lbs. I know we can do it! I am going to go sometime in late Jan or Feb too. I am going to be setting my date sometime in the next 2 weeks. I just need to make sure I get an expedited passport because I don't have one! So I need to take care of that. Make sure you have yours too!

Hi I'm a 50 year old male, and after many diet attempts thruout my life, I have decided to get sleeved. I'm shooting for late Jan or sometime in Feb. I don't have a date yet, but will be scheduling one soon. My bmi is 40. After raising my children on my own, and now that there adults I want a new Outlook and want to give myself this gift. I'm starting to have obesity problems, high cholesterol, blood pressure, sleep problems etc. I'm sick of being fat and can't wait, I know I must be patient and have a solid plan pre and post op. Any advice is appreciated.
