I found walking helped with the gas bubbles a lot, so make sure you go for several short walks a day. Gets better every day! I'm getting ready to post my one week progress report.

Sorry for delay, your message didn't show up on my page for some reason? I'm on the North Shore in Devonport
  4. Hi Modminn. Thanks sooo much for your advice and info. This site is awesome! Awesome stuff not having to go for SARA at ezibuy - I cant wait to get rid of all those. As for still being the same person with the same hang-ups, I guess it will take time to adjust to your new self without the "baggage" literally. Good luck with that. I hope you dont mind me contacting you with any qestions I might think of? Where are you based?

    Part 3
Where are you having your surgery? Mine was with Better Life Surgery in Epsom, with Stepahnie Ulmer. Everything was perfect from that respect.
I did have a very brief cry after surgery when they gave me literally a teaspoon of apple sauce to eat and I thought, what the hell have I done but it has been all up hill from there!!!!!
I have no regrets, honestly. As I said, I have been able to eat and drink anything. The kgs are still reducing, more slowly than at the start. I'm going to the gym and enjoying that.
let me know if you would like to know anything else, email me anytime c.pritchett@xtra.co.nz or through this website
This forum is good as well, everyone has been through EVERYTHING, 99.9% of my questions were answered or helped on this website.
    Take care, Caroline x

    Part 2
Food wise, I can eat and drink anything I want. My biggest problem still is eating too fast. My whole life I have wolfed down the food. You have got to eat very slowly and small bites. My biggest recommendation is try and get enough protein. I have had blood tests recently and I am good with everything as I take a multi vitamin especially made for gastric patients ( I can give you the website for that) but I have noticed recently that my hair has started to come out more than usually. Not great clumps but each time I wash or brush my hair, alot seems to come out and I think that is to do with not getting enough protein. I am looking into protein shots, I think only just available in NZ but you can get them in Aussie and US. Recently discovered a Primo Extremo drink, which tastes good and has 13g of protein. And of course you can get protein powder from health shops and gyms.
I didn't tell my family until a week before my surgery, so they didn't have alot a time to object ) but I was pleasantly surprised with the level of support and good wishes that they gave me. But ultimately you are doing this for yourself! Part 3 to follow

Part 1 Hello!! Thanks for your email, I havn't been on this forum for while. Just been getting on with life and used to my new life. I have lost 33 kgs since the 16 May. To be very honest, I haven't changed emotionally, I'm still the same person with the same hangups and issues, but thats life I guess? I definately don't regret it as physically, I'm a very different person. I went into Ezibuy the other day. Before I went straight to the plus sizes but I was able to browse and actually try on things from the "normal" size area. That felt good! I have caught myself looking at my refelection in shop windows, mirrors etc, which I would NEVER have done before. That still feels strange ) Part 2 to follow...
