  1. Just dropping in to see how everyone is doing. I am doing great. No regrets on having the surgery at all. Its almost six months since my surgery. I still have trouble eating. Maybe 5 bites of food and I am done. Constantly drinking liquids. Hoping I am getting all the protein I need in a days time. But with my work schedule its hard at times. But overall life is good. I am still struggling with thinking I am FAT. Bc that is what I was used too. I am getting better with it though. I have a very good support group & have had one through it all. And thats whats helping me have an uplifting & motivating journey. Thanks for all your support & advice as well. It is always greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you are totally on track. Slow and steady is good. I'm only 30 lbs down in 2 months but the inches are dropping big time!

Hey Melissa, congrats on your surgery and your weight loss, you're doing great! At first it was really hard for me to drink anything but it got better each day. I still get about half of my daily nutrition from protein shakes, 40-50 gms protein from shakes. I use Unjury chocolate and double up the protein with an extra scoop of the unflavored powder (40 gms total). I mix with half water and half skim milk for an extra 5 gms protein. I use the Protizyme peanut cookie powder. I think that's 25 gms plus the milk.

For on the go shakes I use Slimfast low carb, 20 gms protein. Tuna is high in protein, do are sardines if you eat them. Light string cheese, 8 gms protein. At one month out (where u are) I was probably only doing one solid food a day and the rest in shakes. My weightloss is slower than many others, but I am 5'9 and my BMI is a little lower than other people too. I dont really compare myself as my weight loss is slow but steady.

Let me know if you have any other questions!
