You look Awesome!! Thanks for inspiring me..Good Luck with your Cholecystectomy tomorrow, You will probably suffer with a little GAS, but if you wear an Abdominal Binder or a girdle it will support your abdominal muscles & the travel should certainly be OK...

I know! I was totally shocked when I looked at the scale. I haven't noticed a whole heap of change in the fit of my clothes yet, but I visited with some friends yesterday and they said they could immediately see the weight loss in my face. Yaaaay!

I am anxious to get back to work, though. There is only so much walking up and down my hallway that I can do a day.... Or, the sun can start beaming and melting all of the icky snow. :-)

    I hope you're well!

Thank you so much. I had a couple of complications and initially they were going to keep me an additional night. But, I pushed the breathing and walking. I bounced back more quickly than they anticipated. I couldn't keep my pulse ox levels up.....kept dropping into the 60s. And, my blood pressure sky rocketed to 190/112. He also found a hiatal hernia and made the repair. I didn't even know I had it. But due to the repair I have swelling in my esophagus. So,I've had reflux. They said it's normal and should last a couple of weeks. But, I haven't had any gas pain, didn't use the pain pump and haven't used any of the pain meds they sent me home with. So far, so good! Yaaaaay!
  8. Thank you so much for the compliments! It was so fun to go back to school after the holidays and see people's jaws drop! I guessed that it was because they had not seen me for a few weeks. And I lost nine pounds while I was gone. The funny thing to me was that although. I knew I had lost weight, snd thatmy size went down; I didn't see it till I took this picture. It was like, "Holy Cow! My sleeve is really working!!"

Our sleeves are amazing. They are allowing us to become free! I love it.

    Keep Rocking Your Sleeve!

Thanks, well I do know that when I move more my scale moves more, right now that I'm off from work I try to workout more. Once I go back to work is a bit harder but I park far away so I can walk. In my lunch time I also go walk around the track I'm a secretary at a HS or around a park near by. Right now it's colder but I still do it. What I've notice is more inches off. I have a big butt was a size 22 now in at 14/12 I bought a size 10 and hopefully I can wear them by my bday next month.

30 Pounds to Goal!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by MOMX2 on 04-14-2013 at 09:12 AM
I started this journey fifteen months ago needing to lose an incredible 159 pounds of fat! Since, I have been able to lose 129 pounds of the old me and surfacing is a woman who is happier and more confident in her skin than she's ever been. I love, love, love wearing dresses and skirts. I still keep me arms covered in most cases, but even those are getting better.

I never dreamed I'd be one of those girls who only has 30 pounds left to lose. I have people tell me all the time

Gall bladder surgery was Friday and a funk today!

by MOMX2 on 03-17-2013 at 09:54 AM
Usually a very positive person on this site, I woke up in a funk today. I'm hoping it is just the pain meds, lack of shower, and no exercise other than the laps around the block.

I want my control back. I want to wake up and exercise. I want to sleep at night. I don't want anymore incision pain. I don't want to be told I can't do something or to be careful. I want to eat like normal. At this point, I've been given no restrictions but I'm afraid to eat much.

Gall Bladder being removed tomorrow!

by MOMX2 on 03-14-2013 at 08:46 AM
So, I posted two weeks ago about the most horrific pain that put me in the ER for about six hours two weeks ago. Well, I met with the surgeon Tuesday and learned that I do have gall stones. I never want to experience that type of pain again so I am having my gall bladder removed tomorrow morning at 6:00 am.

Hoping my recovery is very quick and with little pain as I fly to Seattle Tuesday for a 3 day training. Wish me luck! For those experienced in this surgery (not at the same

3 scale victories this morning!!!!!!

by MOMX2 on 02-13-2013 at 01:41 PM
Ah, another great celebration of my sleeve...actually, three great victories!

Yesterday my scale read 171 pounds which I was celebrating. Today, it read 169 which is great for three reasons.....

1. I not only weigh what my driver's license says I weigh and has said for 20 years I actually weigh one pound less.
2. I am no longer serverly, morbidly obese with a BMI of 51. I am now just overweight with a BMI of 29.
3. I have lost a total of 125 pounds

My NSVs!

by MOMX2 on 02-06-2013 at 11:19 PM
I had to travel for work and had some time for shopping today. In one of my last posts, I wrote about feeling like I didn't belong in the "skinny girl" stores. Today, I not only went in but I bought. I bought way too much, but I had a great time. The old 3x--24w girl bought medium and large shirts, sweaters, suit coats, skirts, and dresses! I also bought 3 new pairs of shoes. I felt AMAZING! The last store ended with the checkout lady telling me I should go have my picture retaken
